During the lockdown due to covid19, President Buhari entrusted the vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo to lead an economic team that will reshape and ameliorate the nation’s economy amid oil price crash and Coronavirus. The team comprised of Zainab Shamsuna, the finance minister, Godwin Emefiele, CBN Governor and some ministers.
The committee designed a robust sustainable economic blueprint report aim at impacting the lives of Nigeria people positively and improving the economy submitted to President, Muahammadu Buahri and further approves the N2.3 trillion stimulus package by Federal executive council.

Below are some opportunities that await Nigerians as Implementation kick-start:

*The solar power installation is programme to power about 5million homes across the federation; the target is to focus on the areas that are not connected to the national grid. This will boost job creation.

*Another major programme in the Osinbajo's ESC plan is Mass Agricultural Work Programme which the Federal Government is planning to work with each of the state governments to ensure there is provision of about 20,000 hectares of farmland per state with detailed incentives to take the people to the farm and agro allied industries;. Soft loans that will make this happen are planned and one of the philosophies driving this, is for us to be very productive and for our people to be self sufficient in agriculture.

*Inside the ESC N2.3trillion stimulus package is the construction of 300,000 housing units throughout the nation annually using our local materials.

*One of the focuses of Osinbajo's master plan is the N50 billion payroll support under the survival fund that will be given to the MSMEs employees who do not fire any staff in this period of COVID19 Pandemic. There is another additional N200 billion worth of interest free loans for artisans in order to keep their businesses afloat/enlarge their businesses. Another mouth-watering opportunity is the N10 billion targeted for private transporters to keep them in business.

*The off take facility of about N15billion arrowed at 100,000 MSMEs so that whatever they are producing, government can buy them (face masks, sanitizers etc). These monies are source funded and Nigerians people are going to benefit immensely as information is rolled out.

Nigerians are going to actively participate in these programmes immensely.
