Nobody should mention any of those trash brands produced by Transsion here. E SIM no go work for chinko tecno
So sorry to burst your bubble, but I bought my Tecno Camon 12 1st week of November last year, and I've been rocking my E-sim via the SimO App since last year. Not new to "chinko" phone users like us. Enjoy your high end phone and please leave cheap phone users like us in peace.

It's also called a virtual sim, the days of physical SIM cards are now coming to an end.
e-sim has been in existence since the days of GSM.

What privacy do you think you have on your current smartphone?

It pings a tower everywhere you go.

There's a log of all your calls and text messages.

If you use social media, that word 'privacy' should not even be in your lexicon.

Goodbye to the days of breaking your SIM in an emergency, now you have to break the whole phone.
It'll have a lot of cons.

This might not go well with Nigerians.....

MTN is trying to strike deals with phone companies to be the ones to be selling their products directly in order to imbibe their e-sims into the devices before marketing it.....like in the case of vodafones....

You are Smart!
It did not occur to the Fools in Nigeria's corridors of Power that MTN is a foreign Company and this move will weed-out the local Nigerian Companies that sell Phones as well as put our local Telecoms Coys at a disadvantage, as users will be forced to buy the Phones from MTN, with more of our wealth flying to Johanesburg.
I dont know how those in govt are so daft, even if you must do these, it has to start with local/Indegenous Telecoms Companies in Nigeria, like Glo-Mobile.
When the locla Companies have captured enough market, you can then allow foreign ones like MTN to join-in.
This is how to protect, nurture and grow your local industries.

Re: MTN Launches E-SIM In Nigeria by toolovely(m): 7:40pm On Jul 16, 2020
Useless network.... You've not built a strong network that would make the use of the e sim seamless...
MTN 4G network in port Harcourt is like your using 2G network. You can stream with their network, to download a 5mb network takes almost 3 minutes...
