Google has already begun the beta testing of Android 11 and a leaked copy of the Device Configuration Guide has revealed a new detail. It's revealed that future devices that want to run the OS must have more than 2 GB RAM and those using 2 gigs or less must launch as an Android Go device.

Of course they won't. Seamless updates or A/B partition is a must have for devices launching with Android 11 out of the box and Android is getting bigger now. Meaning 128Gb ROM will become the new 64Gb.

2Gb RAM devices below are now under the Android Go program from 11 up, meaning the difference between entry and budget level phones is about to become very clear.
