The Three Africans Running for the position of Director-general of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) are as follows:

Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala - Nigeria
Abdel-Hamid Mamdouh - Egypt
Amina Mohamed- Nigeria

These three candidates have the necessary credentials to be the next DG of WTO.

The African Union is currently deliberating on choosing one of these three to represent Africa, hence, giving Africa more chances of producing the next Director-general of the World Trade Organisation
