Those buses are known night travellers. But they should have respected the directives at least for now.

Nothing was said to be done to the company who provided the service. The passengers could have opted out no doubt however, why not sir the company that flouted the order?

So, are you suggesting the companies should be arrested?

You seem to have ignored the fact that the vehicles were impounded. Do the passengers own the impounded buses?

Please put on your thinking cap sir.

Actually many countries are reimposing lockdowns

Also, why didn't they travel during the day.? Curfew is from 10 pm to 4 am.

Laws and Order are meant for the poor in this Country, but why arrest innocent commuters instead of to query the transport company....Police so catch out this pandemic shaah

Oga, impounding the vehicles doesn't imply the company will be arraigned. Stop trying to sound smarter than you are.

are we still observing curfew hours in this country again?
Re: 10 Luxury Buses Impounded, 150 Passengers Arrested In Lagos (pic) by asapants: 12:18pm On Jul 23, 2020
QuitNotice:
They are mad angry
The passengers got to the park before the curfew
They all had their face masks on
They were going to travel out of the state, without interacting/interfacing with Lagosians
Lockdown on Interstate boundaries are lifted.

So what's their offense?
We have people breaching the local curfew, even getting to the extent of local thieves attacking neighbourhoods, they can't see those. In fact, they are madder than mad
The passengers were there before 10pm, the company handling transportation should be held responsible not the passengers. They never broke the law.

They should release the passengers and vehicles immediately and tender and unreserved apology, those people should have left the park far earlier but Lagos State hold up held them till then so why adding more to the pain we should not push the masses to the wall in this country.

For traders it is very detrimental. They travel at night to reduce the number of days they will be away from their business/shop. They close their shops in the evening and join the buses at night, make their purchases at the market in the east the next day, join another bus at night and be in Lagos for business the following day.
It had not been easy for them. They now have to pay for two seats, as the transport company only run on half capacity.
However, most transport companies stick to the curfew, it is just a few not so popular ones that flout the rules. They all leave Lagos earlier (usually at 8pm) stop wherever the curfew meets them and continue by 4am.
