Within the Psalms you’ll find every kind of emotion, trial, frustration, betrayal and hurt, as well as worship, rejoicing, excitement and wisdom. The beauty of the Psalms is that they allow for your emotions, but they always point you back to Almighty God, where your attention belongs.

It’s easy to put your eyes on the troubles you face—the wind and waves—but that won’t get you where you want to go. The Psalms put your eyes back on the One who loves you and will help you when you put your full trust in Him.

Here, I’ve put together a short—and certainly not exhaustive—list of Psalms for every situation. This is just a starting point. I recommend adding to the list and learning to make the Psalms a place you turn when you need assurance of God's love and power.
