Thanks to everyone that contributed with advice or suggestions, I really appreciate. all your different opinions are really an eye opener. at least now I know that the economy is not really friendly for business start-ups, and skill is highly needed in this era...

@Cof1ex
I really do not like to tell people what to do with their money, it sounds presumptuous to me. But I will tell you what I think you should know, the 500k you are holding is losing it economic value everyday (it purchasing power). To come up with business to undertake takes time, until then put your money into an income-generating asset for the time being. Because by the end of this year the face value of the money you are actually holding might just be like 300k, even worse. You might not know the implication of this now but by next year when CPI is been released you will feel it, even established businesses will have to cut cost, downsizing and so on. Currency even dollar is devaluing as I speaks, holding Naira....lol is risky. The odds to survive is really tough in this country, especially when you know too much. Just don't rush into anything find something real(legit) you can put at least 300k of your money into that will give you back at least 90% return a year and hold the remaining cash. Because honestly this is not the time for anyone to launch into any business in Nigeria. No money outside, businesses are folding up, workers are been laid off, the odds are just against you wait until things get back to normal, you can use the opportunity to plan what you want to do thouroghly and seek out advice from people who have succeeded in the business you want to venture in. You have got more will than most successful people I know, I assure you, you will get there. Sorry for the long essay

U end up saying nothing and also not telling him what to do with d 500k

Don't let anybody mislead you to succeed, CHY mall is paying without referral, you get your profit every 10-12 days, referral is not compulsory, I have been earning since 2 month ago I joined and I don't have any single referral, referral is just an addition to what you will earn, the guy know nothing about the business, he is just saying rubbish, ask him where he heard what he was saying or if he's into the business?

My brother I'm a copper like you and i made a whole lot from Forex during this year.....i don't even save my alawee.....but I can amount to some big money now

What I'd advice you to do is invest some part of it in a reputable company that gives reasonable ROI e.g tonsoelite.com gives 30% ROI monthly

Then, go and learn how to trade in the financial market yourself wether currencies, stocks or commodities or even synthetic indices......

Then you can use ur profits to re-invest innthe real estate.......dis way you'd be creating some great future ahead

2 ways to financial freedom still remains
1....Investment in d real easter
2....Investment in d financial market(Forex, Crypto)

Are dey legit and how did you register with dem?

Hmmm! Right way to go brother.

You can't miss it with these options of yours.

I can only pray for our ex-corpers to be ready for this.

All of these options mentioned above will require of you some months of training so that you don't blow your hard-earned naira, though they're real and legit.

As an ex-corper, you can begin to earn some nice cool income with the skill you have already, just some tushing up right here and there., particularly if you're good with writing. In a month, you're good to go.

Watch out for my posts in this thread, but if you can't wait any more, and you want that skill and opportunity, just check my signature and get going.

Congratulations to all ex-corper, fresh or old corper, jobless or gainfully employed, because you can even do this by the side. The only warning is that you may ending up sacking your current employer because of what you'll be earning in this new opportunity within 3months.

Many persons I have spoken to have discouraged me from going into this boutique business too, they are all screaming food business. They keep telling me, rent a shop in a good location regardless of the cost of the shop, buy bags of rice to sell both in bag and in module, sell vegetable oil, palm oil, beans, tin tomatoes, noodles, spices, etc and even can soft drinks in carton etc and make quiet money. I'm really worried. Boutique are everywhere in my area and the business seem slow now. But these food stuff sellers are selling.

lol, what someone don't know is Bigger than the person and ignorance is a disease,am a living proof in CHY mall, it's not compulsory you refer anybody before you earn, it's an ecommerce sites that you owned online store and buy goods to stock your store, you can decide for the company to send the goods to you so you can sell by yourself or you let the company sell for you and receive your profit+capital at the end of 10-12 days, it's widely known, you can make a research on Google,EFCC and CBN because it's a business with physical company, it's presently in many countries.

Am really going to be straight here. I was able to save #200,000 through a side hustle (riding okada) early last year (jan-may) while awaiting service and up to another 100k i used for service.

I abandoned the money in a fixed deposit account and moved on for nysc... During my nysc, i found my way to the secretariat which gave me chance to do small hustle. I got a factory work which was paying me 25-35k (with loads of stress and i was settling them at the secretariate with 7k). With that, i was able to save all my allowee(#310,250) except the first that was paid in camp cash.

I traveled home during the early corona virus lock down as corpers were advised to go home or any safe place and my factory work was back sliding as materials were costly in the market. >>>

Currently am done with nysc and left my work before the lock down, critically thinking of what next to do with my life. Contemplating on staying back at ogun (sango otta) where i served or going back to abia (my state) and start up fishery or piggery, or poultry, or computer center, or dry cleaning. Just lost in thought. I know how hard i worked to gather this money, i starved myself and deprived myself enjoyment, and the shame of a graduate riding okada (as my dad was financially ok before he died 2k17). I just don't want to carry two legs put for river talk say na testing..

Please help!!!! Lala abeg push to fp

Assuming you have not already found something to do, here is my advise.

Think about something you already know how to do. You talked about starting a fishery, piggery and the likes. Do you already have knowledge and experience about it? Put it in an information product and sell it.

You are going to have to have to dip those toes in the water to test ooo..... my brother.

Other than that just seek a job.............that wont expose you to coro

this is really well detailed, thanks plenty

Most of what he said is true actually.

However there is just one small modification. I will suggest you stick with Forex alone. Cryptocurrency is not yet fully formed. There are lots of unregulated junk there. Stick to Forex.

If you are doing Forex, I also suggest you give yourself 2 solid years. DO NOT trade real money until you have exhausted those 2 years learning and testing. Forex is not a poverty escaping venture. It is not a job replacing venture. It is a long term venture. He said you should demo trade for a week. I am afraid demo trading for a week is not even a drop in the ocean. Forget all these guys you see. Most of them dont make any money trading. They just learn for a few months and then start teaching other people.

You know why I am saying this. I started trading 4 years ago. The trading knowledge I learnt in my first year is vastly different from the way I see Forex now. Imagine that I had jumped out and started teaching people my milk teeth Forex knowledge back then.

In addition to Forex, there is also sports trading. I do not mean the sports betting you see people doing in Bet9ja shop oooo. I mean solid professional Sport Betting. Very similar to Forex. Also a long term venture. If you want any of those two I can show you were to go.

Excuses:
First and foremost, congrats for the struggles pains u assets true to save this little...
Take my storey serious ex-corper.

In 2015 my father gave me 400,000 to start something with my life,i was 500 level then federal university of Technology Minna..

The questions ur asking now were what i ask muself, only i didn't put it on nairaland.. I brainstormed with few intelligent friends..Am studied Agricultural economics. so the piggery, poultry, etc were all in my head, infact it's been in my dreams to own my farm. but this amount is small, what do i do, i thought to muself.

Boom my inspiration came, to start an egg shop in Abuja.here is the thing.. I bring my eggs from Jos. Jos is close to Abuja.then i was buying 650 per crate in jos & selling 800 hundred in Abuja.650 times 500 crates then was 325,000. I bought i small container pimped it 2 house my eggs. cost of transporting d eggs was 20k.

Since i started i've not regret it 4 a moment.d turnover was impressive.I was paying my sales girl 15k den now she earns 45k.I have almost 4 egg shops in Abuja and one I Benue.

You can only imagine what i have made so far..through out all this years i've learnt one thing in business."If u want something big in life,go for the bigger risks".

Ogun is a home for egg production, you can be a distributor and also own your shops..just make sure u have access to a target market, ur turnover is guaranteed plus egg is multipurpose not like broiler.

Wish u luck...
Good Day. I plan on starting this business. How profitable is it? Also how do you safeguard your eggs from breaking during transportation? What's the profit margin on each crate? How do I store the eggs to prevent it from getting spoilt
