Jesus Christ, prophesised His own death, never made any arrangements as to His burial. Does that not tell you something about what Jesus Christ said, and meant when He said, "... let the dead bury their dead"?
Jesus Christ's body was expected to rot there on the cross, eventually to be cast into Gehenna along with the bodies of many others who died in similar ways as He did.
Joseph Arimathea, who was not even known to Jesus Christ before His death, made the arrangements instead according to his traditions--since Jesus Christ was 'dead' He could surely not have been able to stop Him.
But God is not the one who buried Jesus Christ though... Joseph of Arimethea did. God used it to the glory of His name though.
