The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Committee, Mai Mala Buni, said on Thursday that the purported 2023 presidential ticket of a former Lagos State Governor, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, and former Speaker, Yakubu Dogara was mere rumor.

Buni, who is also the Yobe State governor, said the APC would spring a surprise in the September governorship election in Edo State.

Speaking in an interview on the Hausa service of the British Broadcasting Corporation monitored in Kaduna on Thursday, Buni said the APC would coast to victory in the Edo poll.

When asked whether it is true that Dogara joined the party so that Tinubu/Dogara would contest to have Muslim/Christian ticket, Buni said, “These are mere rumour and rumor strive in democracy. That’s not even our concern for now. It is not even proper to start talking about 2023 when we have a seating President.

“People are surprise when Dogara joined us(APC). That’s how we will continue to spring surprises. In democracy, people talk but 2023 is not even our priority now. We are working towards uniting the party.”

Impossible. Dogora of all people. He can't even win his state.
Moreover,Tinubu wont be allowed to be president. He has to live with some fact and accept all d blessings he has acquired through politics.

This is Extremely precarious.

I'm not going to go into details of what the specific problems will be if they eventually emerged, instead I'll just use my answer as a summation of the current situation.

This current government tenure is a defining one for all parties involved. Nigeria has had her fair share of unstable times in the past, but never has she had to endure more problems in unison.

Although some might not have been preventable, the large part of our problems are ones we've seen a mile away and chose to do nothing about until it smacks us right in the face.

Nigerian politics is formed by a series of people, parties and principles that binds us into a very unrealistic conception that everyone wants the best for the country. Political parties in Nigeria are bad losers, who are more than willing to make a tenure “ungovernable” for one another. In between this is where innocent civilians oblivious to these mindsets gets punished.

There is some light at the ending of the tunnel, but boy that tunnel is longer than the Third Mainland Bridge. grin

Tinubu will not be president. Being president is not about knowing how to play politics, there has to be a general acceptability of your person. The political class themselves (majority of them) do not want him, the masses love him but do not want him as president.
If Tinubu is the only person the APC or the south west has to present, they should forget it.
