They can go already. We now have enough Igbo brands that can effectively replace them. The likes of Next, Everyday, Market Square and several others that are available in major cities.

Although we appreciate them for creating the awareness cool

Either way, Nigerians will maintain the franchise or buy it outright

Owners should reduce the cost of owning stalls in malls

Most of the occupiers don't even get many customers

As a result, they easily pack up

Nigeria is such is dumb country. Imagine suspending withdrawal on Nigerian ATM cards abroad when many Nigerians are stuck abroad because of the COVID 19 pandemic. The Embassies are also shut. Ordinary 24 hours power seems impossible. Sowore should do his revolution fast abeg.

Good for our economy. More mini Nigerian stores that shoprite presence killed will come up again. Petty traders will get more patronage ,more jobs for the locals. Hit like if u reason with me like (rudeboy)p-square.

The Chinese or Indian will buy it and increase prices of products.

They would change the every low pricing strategy of Shoprite to premium pricing

They would also stock shoprite with expensive foreign brand or Indian and Chinese brands.

It would reduce customers but increase revenue.

u clearly don't know how Chinese and Indians operate. ....they will buy it and reduce the rices of goods

I just want to ask bro, who will join Sowore to protest? Is it the youths that are busy watching soft porn on BBN. Imagine 20million Nigerians already voted on that useless show. No one is ready for any revolution in Nigeria right now.

You have caption it all, Naija is such a dumb country. Nigerians like sufferness passionately.

I saw this coming.
Competition in that business is just too much.
.
When we have Iya Bilikisu and Auntie Ezine shops in every street corner. Even ordinary Blenco and Ebeano have what I need. The only thing I will miss is their overpriced snacks.

This might be a Blessing in disguise, atleast our Nigerian brands like Next cash & carry, Ebeano etc can blossom!

Even though i don't really see a future in physical shopping centres

No mind them. The banks donated billions of naira each to the FG for covid relief. That's the surface reason.
In reality they were just begging for government to reconsider the harsh policies killing their businesses.
