People from southeast here, should stop opening threads about them. When you notice a idiot trying to make you say unnecessary bad thing about them, just avoid that thread.

It is embarrassing and hurts to be defending ourselves against people who don't wish well for us and the same time fighting people who should be our neighbor(if not our brother).

Just pray to God for Biafra; he won't forsake us.

By the grace of the almighty, if we get it we will diplomatically go to our brothers who found themselves in south south and asked them to join us.

If they say no, let us just leave it like that and focus on ourselves.

Leave Ikwerre matter, let it leave you.

Most people opening threads about them are just bastards who wants us to hate them and they, in turn, will hate us.

We are trying to separate ourselves from this country; we shouldn't force others to be with us.

We need a country where anyone you meet in the street will tell you "I love my country".

Not a country where some people will make reference to when they earlier told you they are not the same with you, when things are not going well with the country.

You are mistaken.

When someone is impersonating you. You don't let them be.
You make sure you expose the person in public and ensure people know the impostor has no link to you.

Op you people from east should stop disgracing Igbo nation this thread about ikwerri must stop, ikwerri are bini-yoruba people.

Not every Igbo know that Ikwerre is Bini-Yoruba.

Many Igbos are not aware of Ikwerre let alone their Igbophobia . They just assume Amaechi, Wike or anyone with Igbo sounding names is Igbo.
Go to facebook and see some Igbos supporting Amaechi presidency, not knowing he is Ikwerre and Ikwerre Igbophobia.

Soon the fraudulent Ikwerre man will come to Igboland to campaign for our support.
If we don't do our job well by wielding the power of internet to inform our people of Ikwerre non Igbo status and make sure they are exposed to Ikwerre Igbophobia, we might have a big problem on my hands by 2023.

Even beyond 2023, it's important we started building Igbo nation and vital to this process is elimination of enemies within, which Ikwerre is to the group .

You think election is won on social media??

You're just ranting and spilling trash.

Your brothers who are wiser will continue to support Amaechi because he is closer to you than anyone in Nigeria today. Ikwerre is ikwerre and that can't change, if we want to be President we will seek support from all the tribes in Nigeria including Igbo because we have the right to be President.

Amaechi as President you igbos will benefit, stop allowing hate to blindfold you.

Ikwerre people don't care about your rants, we have made it clear we are ikwerre people and not part of your Biafra and we don't care what you feel.

You're fighting yourself when nobody is fighting you.

We have treated igbos nicely in Port Harcourt and they will support Amaechi to be President if he contest.

Social media led to Arab spring that overthrew governments all over Arab world.

With the power of social media, IPOB and NK gave Nigerians sleepless nights and control the mind of millions of Igbo youths.

Never underestimate the power of social media.
Be well assured that we will use it's power in full to deal with Ikwerre by making sure Igbo commoners are well enlightened and aware of your Igbophobic actions. We have 3 full years to work on this project and we will be unrelenting with nothing left to chance.
The only Igbos who see Ikwerre as Igbo or support Amaechi presidency are those in the dark about Ikwerre real character. Our job is to expose your real selves to them and as expected, watch them turn on you.

Ndiigbo don't care about Ikwerre and we would not have you fraudulent people impersonate us and manipulate our ignorant populace into voting one of You Igbophobic entities. It will not happen.

Amaechi or any Ikwerre man coming to Igboland to claim non existent relationship will be disgraced. We will ensure that. Stay in your 3.5LGAs in Rivers state.

You never fed any Igbo man in PH. Instead you depend on Igbos to pay shop rents to you, to pay taxes to you, to pay house rents to you. To buy your lands from you. Without all these from Igbo man, you will die of hunger in that your Third World slum you call PH. So I would advise you mind your steps to avoid rendering yourselves hungry. The Igbo man exists all over the world doing business. With or without PH, he will be fine, but the same cannot be said of your people who all stay in PH.

Better keep your pride in check before it destroys you.

Thank you for this effort brother. I used to believe we were one, until I came to Nairaland and saw the kind of hate these people have towards us. Who are these inconsequential people to challenge the great Igbo tribe. Imagine that fellow calling himself Ikwerrepikin issuing such a stupid threat to his father
If you Igbos push we Ikwerre people to take up arms against you migrants in Port harcourt, it Will be very bloody oh! Even your igbo daughters we have bought from you as wife's will not safe you.
How is he important to Igbo? When other important tribes are talking about Igbos, some lazy ones also join them. They want to use us to shine

No, it would be very wrong to ignore someone or a group that keep throwing slurs at you everytime. These guys are doing serious damage on the Igbo corporate identity.

You don't ignore someone who impersonates you to do damage to your name rather you put up a disclaimer so that gullible ones won't fall victim.

I don't advocate for them to belong to the Igbo nation or even Biafra since they have absolutely nothing to add or remove from us. This thread is just to help create awareness among our people to stop seeing these guys as brothers and start relating with them as the enemies they truly are.

Ikwerre just like Ijaw will produce President of Nigeria before Igbo even though it's not really an issue for us.

Rotimi Amaechi is more popular, respected, better than all Igbo politicians and will win more votes from Nigerians than any Igbo politician to become president and don't be surprise to see the North endorse Ameachi in 2023 and he will win in all Igbo states.

While we ikwerre people are strengthening our affinity with our Benin ancestral home and developing our land, you igbos don't want to respect yourselves and
think about how to develop your states with our free Niger delta oil money you receive as monthly allocations.

We have good Igbo friends and in-laws but if you igbos brainwashed by Nnamdi Kanu push we Ikwerre people to take up arms against you migrants in Port harcourt, it Will be very bloody oh! Even your igbo daughters we have bought from you as wife's will not safe you.

Ikwerre are very loving and accomodating people, but do not take that for granted, we are not people you can joke with. We are fearless and strong, we can never be intimated. Even during igbo dominated eastern region govt we stood our grand and maintained our bini ancestral history and fought for the creation of old Rivers State.

Our Ogbakor Ikwerre organization was established before Biafra war. We know our history that Is why Wike named the Port Harcourt stadium after Gowon and renamed Aba Road to Yakubu Gowon road thanking him for listening to our cry to create old Rivers State.

Lol, this one is just decieving himself. Who or what is Ikwerre in Nigeria for you to start talking about Ikwerre presidency?

On what ground will you even demand for Ikwerre presidency? As South South's turn or as Ikwerre's turn in the rotational aspect??

Let me remind you that as a region, it is South East's turn and as an ethnic group as well as, it is Igbos turn since Nigeria sits on a tripod. However, also note that Nigeria has over 300 minority tribes of which Ikwerre is one of them, so I wonder on what basis you will demand for Ikwerre presidency when the other 300, many of them far more populous than your minute minority group has not even nursed such ambition.

THE JOKE IS ON YOU grin grin

Amaechi is a nobody. And we will disgrace him if he tries to impersonate Ndiigbo.
Amaechi cannot even win elections in his native Rivers state, but he is popular in your dreams.

Nobody in SE will vote Amaechi and I doubt he will get votes in SS going by Edwin Clark recent statements.
The North or any serious political party will never pick Amaechi, because he offers nothing politically. He is not Igbo and he has just 3.5LGA to deliver. The only way Amaechi stands a chance is by impersonating Ndiigbo, which is why the fraud is claiming Igbo recently, but Igbo nationalists will so heat up the polity and make it impossible for any Ikwerre impostor to claim Igbo without being disgraced between now and 2023. We are just starting. This is just 2020, expect more from us. This campaign will be unrelentless from now to 2023.

You need to read up on the creation of new Rivers state and the role Ukiwe and Zik played.
You are not Igbo and the days you got to be opportunist Igbos and get Igbo help or support are gone. Now all you will get from us is hate and resentment, exactly what you have always offered us for 50yrs now.

You will not do anything in PH. If you try nonsense you will not survive it.
You are just 3.5LGA surrounded by other minorities who want to see you cut to size too. I would advise you thread carefully. Your pride and hubris will be your fall.

The guy is so naive. We that have studied Nigeria and understand how capricious the system is, knows which side is definitely going to lose out if this campaign to ostracize and isolate them is sustained.

Firstly, South South unlike the SE and SW, is a heterogeneous zone where the constituent parts are always in a battle of supremacy to outdo one another. The region is a shark infested waters where the weak and vulnerable are trampled upon. The Ijaws have understood this game perfectly and that is why they always unite irrespective of the fact that they're broken up into different states. The Ijaws are a minority in Delta and even Warri but the Urhobo and Itshekiri are afraid of them.

Other groups in Rivers State have been complaining bitterly on how the Ikwerres are perpetuating themselves in power against justice and fairness. However, what many undiscerning people have not understood is that Ikwerre is using Igbo influence to sustain their hold on power.

Igbos living in P.H outnumber any other group and coupled with the other Igboid groups across the state have combined to project the Ikwerre as being the overwhelming majority which is far from reality. However, once it becomes obvious that Igbos are no longer with them, it will make them weak and vulnerable and their domination of local politics will dissipate.

Yes.

You are right.

People who impersonate others and spoil their names should be countered.

People who achieve something worthy and you try to push a narrative that they are one of you, but they join your enemies to label you "attache by force", should be delt with.

People who soil name they bear, with you, but when they enemies trace the name to your tribe, instead of them to voice out the same way they voiced out that they are not the same with you when one of them achieve something reasonable, they keep mute, should be addressed.

But my worry is how are we going to address them in the midst of enemies who only like to hear news like that. If we say something they will mock us for pursuing a cause they see as foolish.

I quite understand your concern, but do you know why the Ikwerres have continued in this dance of shame for a long time now? The answer is simple, they felt they have nothing to lose considering that the more they insult us and use us to gain popularity, the more our people continue to extend the olive branch while hoping they will turn a new leaf. But that's a very naive, emotional and simplistic way to deal with such situations.

Natural law (You can call it Newton's third law) dictates that for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction to it. For 50 years now, we have treating this issue with kids gloves while they continue to get emboldened. Are you even aware that the seeming Igbophobia being witnessed in parts of Rivers State is directly as a result of Ikwerre hate mongering against us. If we allow it to fester, we risk losing our Igbo brothers in the state. The impression being created and pushed forward is that Igboid groups that try to identify with our identity are demonized and demeaned. It is crucial for us (and we have the capacity to do so) to put them in check. We should stand with those that identify with us and humiliate those that try to put us to shame.

Firstly, the Ikwerres stand to lose a lot once we cut them off. They will be neither Bini nor Igbo, thus in essence, they will have no identity cry cry

Secondly, they will become vulnerable and weak considering their small population, and that will make them open to suffer humiliation, and I bet you, in a state like Rivers and region like SS, they can't survive it.

This is when they will start looking to attach with us but it will be too late.

Had it been that Rivers State is an Ikwerre state or that they own P.H 100%, then it would have been worth it but they don't!!

Have it in mind that it would be next to impossible to have them in Biafra without having other minorities in it too, considering that one city can't be in two countries.

THE JOKE IS ON YOU grin grin

You don’t understand Nigeria politics and you lack good knowledge of history.

Where was Yaradua from and where is Buhari from? Are they not of the same state Kastina and same region?

Zoning is between North and South and when ever it comes to any of the region, the most qualify who can win more votes first in it’s region will be considered.

Buhari was considered to fly the ticket despite coming from the same region with Yaradua because he is capable of winning more votes in the North than any politician in the north.

Power is coming to the South and someone like Rotimi Amaechi who comes from South South with his Igbo wife and also said he is Igbo (South East) stands a better chance than any igbo politician today including those in the South West.

It is a very simple mathematics with common sense.

Amaechi = Rotimi who is very loved in the SW, will win his SS people votes irrespective of the party because we will never reject our brother and loose the chance to produce president again, and he will also wim SE votes because igbos will vote for him as they regard him a brother who also says he is igbo and can speak your igbo perfectly.

Tinubu = Can only win SW and can not win SS and SE votes so it’s a disadvantage for him because, PDP dominated Niger delta people and igbo will not support Tinubu so how can you want to be president when it is the turn of the south and you can’t win majority South votes?

Igbo Candidate: Who ever present himself under Apc from the SE can not win majority SS votes in PDP dominated SS talk more of winning majority of Yorubas and northern votes as an Igbo Candidate which will be very difficult even when the North have said you cant win Northern votes to be president because you have not built bridges. So you guys are also in disadvantage because you have too much hate for the North and they don’t trust you with power and biafra agitation.

I don’t know how you igbos think, you believe Presidency will be given to you like it’s your birth right. Nobody will give you power, you need to fight to get it and i ask, is it yoruba or North that will help you fight to get power?

Even PDP will find it difficult to give you presidential ticket talk more of Apc. You better stop hate and start supporting Amaechi and build good relationship with we Ikwerres because it’s clear that we could produce President of Nigeria in 2023 just like our ijaw brothers did.

Amaechi region (South South) has the voting strength, his home state Rivers state dominated by his Ikwerre people have a voting strength of over 1.3million which is large than two South East states put together, not to talk of Delta state with over 1.2 million votes.

Be wise, stop all this anti Ikwerre fight, we have moved on, we are not fighting you igbos, you people are just killing yourselves over our unique identity and rejection to be part of Biafra and I don’t understand why you and your Nnamdi Kanu likes have a problem with our decision. I weak for una!

Stop preaching hate, you’re blind, if you go with this hate speech it will consume you igbos.

If you reject Amaechi base on hate just like you reject Buhari, then you’re in for a serious problem. Just like Buhari Fulani brothers are killing your people and destroying your villages because of your hate for them and their brother Buhari, we Ikwerre people could pick up arms against you igbo migrants in Port harcourt and you will loose your lives and properties and Nigeria govt will not safe you just like they can’t safe you from Fulani.

How many Ikwerre people in South East? Which Ikwerre properties will you destroy in Igbo land?

You will loose, your hate speech will hurt you. Ikwerre have moved on, we are not fighting igbos, stop creating hatred, we have good igbo neighbors and inlaws. Your unnecessary rants is burn out of hate. The real igbos who are wiser are already drumming support for Amaechi incase he gets the ticket.

Amaechi winning all Igbo state will create good relationship with Ikwerre and Igbo and the igbo elites know this and will never loose the opportunity to create that good relationship with we Ikwerre to safe their investment and properties in PH just like Jonathan(Ijaw) and Igbo despite all that occured during the Biafran war.

Today things have change, the relationship is better now, stop preaching hate and accept reality.

Firstly, the North has always been dominated by the Hausa/Fulani and the other minorities have accepted their subservient role. That is why NW has continued to dominate them without much complain but that is not the case with South. While Igbos and Yorubas are the dominant ethnic groups in the South, the southern minorities are not being subjugated.

Secondly, the North are currently in control of local politics in Nigeria. However, the Igbos are threatening to break up Nigeria and they no that the threat is very real. They also know that the only way they can hope to take the sail out of the momentum of the separatist movement will be by breaking their support base by supporting an Igbo president. So, it is in their best interest to support Igbo president as a way of stemming the breakup attempts. Now, this is why Amaechi has suddenly become more Igbo than Ikwerre. He understands where the pendulum is swinging and is trying to reap where he did not sow. To be honest with, I see no difference between Amaechi or Tinubu or James Ibori.

Thirdly, North will rather continue ruling than allow another Yoruba man to rule considering they have ruled for 8 years as president and another 8 years as vice. If Tinubu or any Yoruba is allowed to rule, it would mean that they're no longer the power brokers and that is something they're afraid to lose.

Fourthly, SS is a heterogeneous zone, unlike the SE or SW. The Ijaw does not consider you as his brother and neither does the Ibibios, Anioma, Urhobos etc. Even within the SS, Ikwerre is not considered as a force to reckon with and you lack the numbers or spread to influence things. By the time our campaign to ostracize and isolate you guys gathers momentum, you guys will be completely relegated to the background.

Amaechi will soon become an orphan, he will neither be seen as Igbo nor Bini. His attempts to force himself on us will be totally rejected. Ikwerre are free to use our language, culture and tradition but they should stop attaching themselves on us to gain popularity. We don't want you guys in Biafra and neither do we want you to be a part of the Igbo nation. Why can't you get that into your head?

You guys have been claiming to be Bini but now we are saying you shouldn't attach yourselves to us, you refuse. What exactly do you guys want??

You really need to be careful of what you're wishing yourself. You're in no position to threaten anyone. Using the Fulani analogy is wrong because the Fulanis morphed with the Hausas to become a majority ethnic group and they also control the army, otherwise they won't be acting the way they're doing. However, Ikwerre on the other is a minute minority surrounded by enemies. Other tribes in Rivers State already not happy with you and they're looking for an opportunity to take their pound of flesh.

We have nothing to gain by having you with us. If the Yorubas, a major ethnic group can't even imagine to threaten Igbo investments in Lagos, is it a minute minority like Ikwerre?

You’re wrong, you igbos don’t understand politics. Nobody will give you presidency because you threaten to break up. If we allow that, tomorrow we will have another region threaten breakup.

That is why the North have said, go and build bridges if you want Nigeria to support you for President and not threaten our unity.

If you don’t get Presidency in 2023 nothing will happen, Nigerians are not threaten like you think, you have more properties and investment in other parts of nigeria than igbo land. So stop feeling like we are begging you to be part of Biafra. Even your Nnamdi Kanu biafran map is laughable.

The North will rather support Amaechi and sell him to your igbo brothers instead of supporting an Igbo man because they don’t trust an Igbo man with power and biafran agitation.

Nobody will beg you to remain in Nigeria with Presidency. It’s so funny and foolish to believe such! Lol

If you want Biafra, start relocating all your people and investment to igbo land. It will first develop your region and create employment for your people. But no you’re ranting online shouting Biafra! Lol

Even if your tribe is not the same with our, just consider the fact that we are neighbors and we have lived side by side for more than two hundred years.

Don't go about opening threads about how Ndigbo your neighbors will be left with no other choice than to vote your brother.

Threads like that gives people who don't mean well for us morale to open threads and insult us. If you continue with the threads it means you have joined league with them against us.

Campaigning about one's brother is not bad, except when you put a tribe in bad light.

Just campaign for your brother but avoid dishing out things like "ndigbo have no choice", especially when you are aware that there are people here who wants to see us sink.

To others reading this: let this be last thread about Igbo and Ikwerre.
