These people just want to chase good initiatives out with their yeye taxations.

This is wickedness of the highest order. Uber and bolt drivers couldn't work for months due to the pandemic, and now that things are getting normalised, the state government is coming with this BS. the most painful aspect of it is that the money they would raked in will be looted and not used for the masses. Lagos hasn't been bad as this Sanwo's tenure. The man is not in touch with the masses.

This is not wise.

I come to the conclusion that Ambode is saner, more compassionate and humane than this Sanwolu. It's very clear this man only interests is to please the burdillion master

If I understand this story very well, "someone in the cabinet is proposing an app" I hope it's not mycab cause they brought government attention to this platforms. Now the gov haven't said anything in favour of the said drivers but only taxation ( more like pick pocketing in the middle of a fight).

At the end of the day, a bulk of the tax burden will bounce back on the consumer As soon as you tax them, expect transportation cost on Uber and Bolt platforms to double.

Every serious Taxicab operator will joyfully pay the licensing fee. Can't say the same for the consumer.

You people should keep running your mouth. Government don't give a fck about you, that's why the regulation is all about them, how much they want as taxes, 10% service fee on all trips, licensing fee, annual renewal of licenses, etc. It's all about them, not you the consumer who seems to know too much on how to protect a corrupt and useless government.
