Kashamu: Family Restricts Attendance For Eighth-day Fidau Prayer by SheikhMuniru(m): 10:46pm On Aug 16
Ahead of the eighthday fidau prayers for the late Senator Buruji Kashamu, members of his family have said physical attendance at the gathering, scheduled for tomorrow, would be based strictly on invitation. In a statement issued yesterday and signed by the daughter of the deceased, Mrs Sherifatu Kashamu- Ademakinwa on behalf of the Shodipe Kashamu family, she said the restriction is in line with COVID- 19 regulations from the state and federal government.

The statement urged members of the public to watch the virtual live streaming of the event on various social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and Zoom. The statement reads: “The Shodipe-Kashamu family of Ijebu-Igbo, Ogun State, wishes to inform the general public, lovers, associates and supporters of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle, the late Senator Buruji Kashamu, that the eighth day fidau, scheduled for August 16, 2020, is strictly for family members and a few invited guests.

“This is in line with the regulations of the Ogun State Government and Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID- 19. We wish to implore the general public and all those who would have loved to be physically present to pay their last respect to please watch the virtual live streaming of the event.
