Obaseki: End Godfatherism In Edo With This 2020 Governorship Election by Trumpcard05: 7:26am On Aug 17, 2020
The Edo State Governor and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the September 19, 2020 governorship election, Mr Godwin Obaseki, has concluded his ward-to-ward reelection campaign in Edo North Senatorial District, promising to bring an end to godfatherism in the state.

A statement on Sunday said Obaseki made the promise while speaking to party faithful in Ward 7, Etsako West Local Government Area, and called on the people to support him in the fight against godfatherism by voting en masse for the PDP.

He said, “On September 19, 2020, we have to tell them that Edo must move forward and bring an end to godfatherism.”

Obaseki thanked leaders of the party and members of his campaign team for their time and sacrifices throughout the campaign which began two weeks ago.

He also urged the people to defend their votes, promising to resolve the lingering kingship tussle in Afokpella.

The Chairman of the Edo State PDP Campaign Council, Chief Dan Orbih, urged the Independent National Electoral Commission to ensure that the people’s votes count in the September 19, 2020 election in the state.

Only in your dreams! Why is it that it is those who are outside Edo state that are so quick to say the opposite of the reality on ground. Come and feel the pulse on ground, the people are not deceived, they are completely sold on Obaseki and will overwhelmingly return him elected come September. Mark these very words.

Godfatherism can't be separated from Nigeria politics. Oshiomhole said same when he was fighting Igbinidion, Aneneh, etc.

That's if they will hear

Nigeria should av gotten to a state that if any politician offers you money to vote, collect it and still vote for the best.

Our politics should be a stage that you don't need much wealth to contest

Obaseki may be saying the right thing, but he is not also saint because godfatherism took him there.

I sha Edo people will prove that "Edo no be Lagos" as claimed

Thank you so much. We Edolites know what's on ground. I do not know why Yoruba's took this election upon themselves. We do not serve money bags or one Godfather in Edo State. If you people love the way Tinubu pocketed the whole SW. We in Edo do not want similar.

To end Godfatherism, Edo people have resolved to vote out Obaseki the product of Godfatherism, and vote in POI

A man who wants to replace Godfatherism with Cult-Fatherism

Fighting everyone who stopped supporting him, demolishing their houses and businesses, failing to innuagurate lawmakers through unconstitutional speaker he sworn in at night, sacking them anyhow, using Governorship privileges to remove Edo illustrious sons from National and Federal position

Should we show you what PDP, and Wike said about Obaseki in 2016?! Or how Goodluck Jonathan, Wike and Fayose praised Pastor Ize Iyamu?!

Well Pastor Ize Iyamu is not a childish fool like Obaseki, he came with his SIMPLE agenda with a well documented manifesto , no time for stupidity, like shouting Edo no be Lagos, or shouting Godfatherism, POI is explaining his SIMPLE agenda to everyone and the crowd love him, the people love him, the king's love him
