Over 1000 members of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Idanre/ Ifedore federal constituency, have dumped their parties for the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The defectors were led into the APC by the coordinator of the SDP in the federal constituency, Hon Osamaye Oluwaseun.

The State chairman of the APC, Engr. Ade Adetimehin received the decampees into the party.


The Chairman described the development as an attestation to the growing popularity of the incumbent Governor and Party Flag-bearer of the APC Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN.

The new members pledged their total support and loyalty to the APC while declaring their readiness to contribute their quota to the re-election bid of Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu in the forthcoming October 10, 2020 governorship election in the State.
