Guys, we can't compare light and darkness na.

Botswana and Namibia are years ahead of Nigeria. Nothing to compare there.

Nigeria's nickname is 'big for nothing' incase you don't know. It's about time right thinking Youths start going into active Politics. We can't effect positive change from the sidelines or just protests alone.

Op, the problem of Nigeria is not lack of good plan but lack of maintenance and sustainability.

We have good plans but we don't have maintenance culture and we also lack discipline to sustain our good plans and initiatives, which is where corruption comes into play.

Another reason for corruption in Nigeria is too many tribes. As a black nation, Nigeria have too many tribes with different orientation to encourage one vision and one goal.

Each tribe in Nigeria have a different vision of development and wish to outsmart the other which create conflict of interest and hence favoritism in government institutions which leads to hiring of incompetent people in government that end up serving the goals of their tribesmen

Wrong. The problem with Nigeria is it's citizens and their warped mentality. Without the right mentality no nation can survive.

I don't blame Trump when he called Nigeria a shit hole country. Imagine Namibia that got independence in 1990 having a well planned organized city. Thunder fire all naija bad politicians starting from Buhari, Ikpeazu, Uzodinma, Obiano, Ishaku, Masari and Yahaya Bello. Worst governors in the history of Nigeria.

A sane mellow environment where people live a contented life without the greedy culture of materialism.

Nigerians will soon start trooping there to go run it down with their noise, filth, and thievery, and when the original owners get fed up with their nuisance level and ask them to leave their country for them, you'd start hearing "they are lazy, they are envious and jealous of us, they don't know how to do business, etc."

We are anyhow people jare

Are you willing to go into Nigerian politics and be the change you want?

Because this is where the problem is coming from.

Most good and innovative Nigerians actively avoid politics. Thereby leaving only the people with ulterior motives running for political offices.

Diversity ought to be a strength but as an African nation of black people, we are too diverse to have one goal as a nation.

I think this is where restructuring Nigeria to function as a united regions of West Africa comes into play also , using the 6 geopolitical zones as the template whereby each geopolitical zone have their own regional government to handle their developmental projects, policing, education, etc, while the central government serve as uniting force with a focus on international affairs and national security against external aggressors

Nigeria has beautiful cities but, this designs and originality in namibia gives an air of "Europeans",everything about it looks foreign, here in Nigeria what we have is just colour, bright lights and paints,no uniqueness because it was planned

Ha ha ha. In Nigeria where many state governors plan only state capital, develop only state capital.

The other parts of the state retreat to the 20th Century.

Visit Imo state, you will cry.

That's easy. Decades of psychological rape caused the mentality of the average Nigerian to go left instead of taking a right. Now it is too late. Nothing and no one can repair it. Doubt me? Look no further at the comments of Nairalanders on various topics. No sane person should utter the things most of them say.

You are displaying your stupidity

How does population stop leaders from developing and maintaining their infrastructures?

Does Nigeria have more population than China, India and the US?

FYI, your yeye leaders have looted more than $600 billion since independence. That sum would have done so much for this country.

Nigeria has no standard in anything. Mediocrity thrives. The greatest architectural wonders in Nigeria are flyovers and overhead pedestrian bridges. Then we have cheerleaders with cheap data who reside mainly in the villages called cities.

Nigerians will never see anything good in their country. Just because someone used a good camera phone to snap some streets in their country, so we have to chop okro over it? You too snap some fine places in your country too and upload it. Chikena!!
Someone is even saying that he's not sure that Abuja has places as fine as those... This our Abuja abi? or another one....?
You must not have been around very much

Nigerian major cities lack under ground sewage system and proper traffic management.. It is a fact.

Nigeria lacks organized society! It is noisy and people cant wait to break traffic rules here... Sewage systems are open. These are the major issues bro. Make we no lie!

And when u also compare the structures of their universities, u will see the massive difference compared to us. When we see truth, we need to say it. We deserve more. We are rich. These countries are even poorer compared to us but can achieve much with their little income while our politicians are busy using tax payers money to buy expensive cars and offer cassava as empowerment scheme. Too bad.

nigerians are just hypocrites, this is what fashola was trying to do in Lagos by planting trees, flowers and creating open parks within the city which he did but folks started complaining by saying na flower we go chop. I am tired of Nigerians whining, if you truly want the best for Nigeria, it's gonna come with some sacrifices and pains. Do you know how many houses will have to be demolished to achieve all these kinds of landscaping, sidewalks and the likes.

Abegi we are not ready, just full of noise and talk

When our backward mentality dictates that walking is only for 'poor men' hence no need for pedestrian plazas and sidewalks. Hence the highways passing through city centers. No planning. Nigeria. Mediocrity as usual.
