Akwa Ibom APC And Their Regular Display Of Psychosis by indaboskybahose(m): 8:26pm On Aug 24, 2020 |
Dignifying through my response the recent unguided, senseless and empty loquaciousness of the Akwa Ibom chapter of the All Progressive Congress(APC) over the comment made by Gov. Udom Emmanuel is regrettable, but as a result of the responsibility i owe posterity, there is need to register my reaction. Yesterday, the State Governor who incidentally is the Chief Security Officer of the State cautioned Sen. Ita Enang to desist from making inciting comments capable of throwing the state into anarchy, a constitutional duty the governor owes the people, but the APC instead of showing remorse for such loose tongue from their dishonourable member chose to insult the Governor. It is a confirmation that madness, violence, war, chaos, confusion and frustration run in the bloodline of the APC. If the APC can easily forget the fact that the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) at a point publicly apologized to Akwa Ibom State Government over the misappropriation of number of cases of Covid19 patients n the State, then they are really suffering from amnesia: A recurring decimal that often punctuates their comments and outburst. Why would they mention such issue after it had long been addressed. Is this madness or sheer foolishness? For the APC in a release signed by its publicity secretary Nkereuwem Enyongekere to call the state Governor names is not only consistent with its uncultured and uncivilised nature, but a sign that its naivety has reached a level of no remedy. Who would have kept quiet and watched the sacrifices of Akwa Ibom people brought down to ruin by a comment made by a privileged drunkard in the APC? Over the years, Akwa Ibom has remained peaceful, a testimony that top security officers and elite in the country have substantiated at every opportunity. How can the governor fold his hands and watch anarchy set it through a dishonourable statement of an ignominious APC chieftain who often boasts of holding a dignified position in the presidency? No sane man would watch his house being set ablaze by a mad man and refrain from calling such uncircumcised element to order. Maintaining decorum does not mean that one is weak. Hence the Governor's clear cut comment that Ita Enang doesn't have monopoly of madness. And this is the truth. For heaven's sake, Gov. Emmanuel owes every Akwa Ibom son and daughter the responsibility of protecting and defending them at all times, and that is what the governor did. Only a weak leader would keep quiet and watch the enemies of the state ridicule his people in public glare. The comments made by Ita Enang is not only an insult on the governor, but a deadly spite on the people of Akwa Ibom. Nkereuwem Enyongekere who does not know his onions, an unlettered man who is as blind as a bat in thinking should be ashamed of himself for choosing to insult a dignified and hard-working governor. Akwa Ibom people had expected a written apology from Ita Enang and the APC for attempting to cast aspersions on the governor, but instead they chose to dance naked in the market square. Just like the youths in Akwa Ibom State have unanimously warned Ita Enang to desist from insulting their governor, Akwa Ibom people have joined their voices to call Ita Enang and the APC to order. We won't tolerate it anymore. The APC should go and bury its head in shame. No body has the monopoly of madness. 1 Like
