Is your client a Civil Engineer, Structural Engineer or Quantity Surveyor? If not, and you're either of those, you should be the one advising him with confidence and authority.

And if neither of you are then it's highly recommended to at least work with a professional. Building projects aren't ventures to handle with kid's gloves. Money and people's lives are at stake in the long run.

I am a civil Engineering graduate though still new in building construction. I have told him and even confirmed from my former coursemates but he insists saying that it's a bungalow that it's not a storey building that requires ½ or 1" size of coarse aggregate.
