Sabadon:
guy u dey yarn opata, u hv never been faced with the hazards associated with medicine if not you ll know that doctors re underpaid in this part of the world. imagine hazard allowance of 5k which wont even be enough for a PEP,yet they re faced with needle stick injury and exposure to all sort of diseases, not to mention the "call duties" that separates them from their loved ones and missing out in important family celebrations all because they cant leave their post of duty, no let me vex for you o
...If Doctors are under paid, what of Nigeria nurses..? What of medical laboratory scientists...,what of Pharmacists, what of Radiographers...? What of Environmental officers..?
These people are equally exposed to hospital hazard...If we are going by level of hazard exposure, the nurses, and medical Laboratory Scientists are more exposed, take chunk of the work... Modern medical practice is evidence based..Medical Laboratory Scientists are highly exposed to hazardous clinical samples, while nurses are directly exposed to the agent through the patients...Doctors has minimal contacts with the patients...( This is one of the reasons why nurses are highly paid in sane climes)...
So, Nigeria Doctors should just calm down..
