Gradually the north is tilting towards an islamic state in a secular country while the south watches like morons...

They practise sharia
They have an islamic police
They even share proceeds of alcohol sales with the moronic south ...

The south cant even be allowed to secure themselves by creating a security outfit.... Shame

I think he is trying to tailor the law to suit his own selfish interest.

you are very right here. He tinkered with the law to wittle down Sanusi's powers and influence so as to give other emirs some chance and power. Now Sanusi is out, he changes the law to what it has always been. And de rubber stamp house of assembly will do the bidding of any governor so long as he settles them with ghana-must-go bags full of money. Our political leaders destroying institutions because of personal interest.

I grew up knowing the Emir of Kano as the second highest royal father after the sultan of Sokoto.

Ganduje made it clear to the World that the exalted Emir of Kano is only a boy boy with no real powers.

The Oba of Benin is the only true monarch left in Nigeria. His office can not be tampered with by the governor.

The Oba of Benin cannot be removed by the state governor because they are both in good terms. The federal constitution put every traditional ruler under the state governor. They determine the fate of their traditional leaders.

The Oba cannot be removed by anybody whether in good terms or not. The highest the governor can do is to not give him his allowance.

That is because the Oba of Benin respects himself, sees the governors as more or less his subjects, treat them like kids and understand the role of a traditional ruler and doesn’t over step boundaries.

Point of correction,It's the National Assembly that makes an ACT, while a State House of Assembly makes a LAW.
