The right thing to do after he surrendered is to prosecute him for his crimes and not to kill him extrajudicially. The extrajudicial killing of Mohammed led to the creation of Shekau.

Again, I’m not sure he was killed because of his kidnapping crimes, he was killed because of how he decimated criminal herdsmen operating in the area. Wadume is another notorious kidnapper in the Taraba area, the army had to kill so many police officers just to rescue him from police arrest. Still, he was never killed extrajudicially. He is still in custody undergoing trial. The same should have been done to Gana.

This is not right. In fact, it is cold blooded murder. The president should order an investigation into the circumstances leading to his death. The explanation that he engaged the army in a shoot-out is nonsense. Those that murdered him should be fished out and made to face the law. The army should not be used to carry out one sided extrajudicial killings if we are truly desirous of ending the crisis. The consequences of this murder will be severe.

I usually don't agree with your politics and views on a lot of issues but I totally agree with you on this. This government is now treating Nigerians and the rule of law with nonchalant ridicule and outright derision.
