I've been taking note of this lately!
Why is it that in every APC rally in Edo, there's always strands of broom in the hand of supporters unlike Southwest and North with bunches?
Edo is notable with palm trees, what's happening

They are signalling the countdown for Osho and Iyamu

There is something called equity. If there are 3 of pieces of meat in a plate of food that 3 people are eating, one person cannot eat one meat and reach for another when the other 2 have not had their own.

The South West have had their 8 years with Obasanjo. The South South have had one term with Jonathan while the South East has had nothing. Both the South East and South South are yet to equal the South West's 8 years.

Now that power is expected to come South in 2023, the South West is coming for another piece of meat again

In 2023, if the Presidency is not going to the SS to enable them complete their 8 years, or to the SE, to enable have at least 4 years, then it is better that power stays in the North.

Lol ! Your analysis is funny. In actual fact,It is close to being called childish ! Perhaps, if you put emotions aside, you will realise that your analogy of three pieces of meat for three people is quite laughable. Bro,it is called politics ! A very delicate game that requires tactical manoeuvering, bridge building, currying favours ,reaching out even to your known enemies, projecting your image positively, forming alliance, selling yourself and your ideas etc.

What are you talking about ? In a democracy, nobody gives any meat to anybody ! You have to work very hard and demonstrate to others that you are deserving of having "the meat" ! Have you people genuinely demonstrated that you're deserving of being entrusted with the highest political office in Nigeria ? Who would vote for any candidate from a region whose inhabitants call other Nigerians animals and the country zoo ? It is either Biafra today and tomorrow you want to become the president of "zoo" ! Come on guy, figure it out !

Talking about 2023 and your empty blackmail, the entire votes from the SE can't stop the SW from producing the next president if the push comes to shove. You need to understand that the political dynamics of the SS are entirely different from that of the SE. South east is homogenous ; south south is not - it is a complex composition of diverse ethnic groups ! South south and South east do not share the same political agenda, stop deceiving yourself bro. Even at that, there are some very powerful Yoruba politicians with strong and unbreakable alliances all over the country. Politicians operate on the principle of "common interest" ; they don't care about any common man !

Igbo are good business oriented people who are equally gifted in craftsmanship. Use your talents to get your dream country, Biafra as that seems the only way out of your current political mess in Nigeria. By nature, you'll always be at loggerhead with politics and democracy. You ain't democratic in nature !

Stop talking like a kid. In 1999, Nigeria conceded the Presidency of Nigeria to the South West because of equity, justice and fairness. Everybody knew of the injustice of June 12th. The South West had its 8 years with Obasanjo.

So what moral justification has the South West got to seek another term in office when the South South has had only one term and the South East has had none? Only the South West is good to have 8 years?

If in 2023, the South West insists that they will go for the Presidency, rather than support either the South South to complete their 8 years, or the South East to have 4 years, then it is only fair that all 6 geopolitical zones should aspire to the Presidency, no more zoning. Whoever wins, carries the day.

If people in Nigeria dont like they fact that the South East calks Nigeria a zoo, they should feel free to allow the South East become an independent country. Why would anyone want to be in the same country with those who call the country a zoo if not mischief or ulterior motive?

What constituted equity in Igbos deliberately choosing to vote for Obasanjo in 1999 just to spite the Yorubas whose preferred candidate was Olu Falae? Yorubas view Obasanjo as a sell out to Yoruba interests, so if at all any Igbo man shall be given the APC ticket it must be the likes of Joe Igbokwe whom Igbos see as a traitor and efulefu in order for them too to feel the "equitable" gesture they extended to Yorubas by voting for Obasanjo.

Lol pure greed

Some zones such as the South East have not produced president of Nigeria in more than 50 years

The South West that have had the presidency are now complaining that they didn't get their preferred candidate?

Two men are complaining that they are tired of walking and want to drive a car. One man is given a car and he is now complaining that it is not the right model. Meanwhile, the other man is still walking

Greediness

Greediness

So if you claim you want a car and you are given the one with a knocked engine you will accept it just because it has the body of a car? If 1999 election was meant to compensate Yorubas over June 12, should the same Obasanjo who mocked the symbol of that very June 12 be the beneficiary of the compensation? You have still not answered why Ekweme ever contested the PDP primary with Obasanjo if we have to believe you that the ticket was conceded to Yorubas over June 12.
If anything, Obasanjo was the candidate of the the Igbos and Northerners in that election hence he ruled on behalf of Igbos who till today still dub him a hero. Likewise, Igbos also ruled again through Jonathan whom they declared as their adopted son in the build up to the 2011 and 2015 elections.
Igbos didn't care that Jonathan actually usurped their turn in 2011 so why the hue and cry now? The South-South too needs to complete their remaining four years first before Igbos will be considered if at all. Igbos have always cried over Jonathan's 2015 loss more than the SS which own him, so it therefore becomes a moral question of walking the talk for Igbos to support the SS' 2023 bid to complete their remaining four years for which Igbos have cried more than the bereaved since 2015 till date.
