That right there is the Typical Black Man thinking! Lack of foresight and Aspirations. Instead of the man to use the ladder to cross to the other side of the wall, he'd rather remain where nothing happens, burn the ladder as firewood while expecting a miracle. It means: climbing to the top is hard, but when you get up there, you have no limit. In summary, the rich gets richer. The picture has another meaning, but let me keep it to myself. By the way, nothing is hard except you think so. Oh, I just saw a saw on the ground and that means he cut the steps himself, so the meaning has changed for me. The man is simply an idîot. it's a system used by colonial powers to disable the black society from inner progress, we already have a system in Africa that works, the colonial masters sacked African and dominated our thinking in recent times, when ever there's a problem, black men burn down bridges instead of building one, our needs have been narrowed down to just one "survival" 1 Like |

This picture reflects on everyone irrespective of your age, race, gender or religion...... If you look at the picture carefully you will notice that the man is in a cold dark place at the bottom of the wall, what he needs is an unlimited supply of heat and light , while at the top there is enough sunlight to provide the unlimited amount of heat and light but the man doesn't realise this, so he Burns the ladder that would have taken him to get a permanent supply of what he needs just to get temporary provide those things ......it simply means wasting the resources that would have been used for greater purposes to get things that have little or no value both now and in the future. 9 Likes 1 Share |

Very deep Indeed. The surrounding is dark, he needs light (fuel/funds) to see (Survival), so as not to remain in darkness (death/starvation). Not knowing he is doing his future more harm by consuming his only present resource for survival rather than investing it for a happy tommorow). This is an Inevitable Situation, most are guilty of doing this especially here in Nigeria due to poverty/hardship. So many folks couldnt investing in the future by taking courses, investing in stocks and shares that will liberate them, becos their present survival is at stake. Sheybe na person wey dey alive (dey in light) they plan for tommorow (sustain the ladder). Only those that gat nuts in head can scale through such situation and still get to the promise land. He has lost hope of a better tomorrow(the other side) and would rather live for the moment(make fire with the ladder rungs) OR A case of I cannor comman goan die: make a fire place to save him from cold than cross to a place with a better life when the life on the other side is not yet known to him.
