Obasanjo/Atiku That Midwifed National Rot Cannot Chart Way Forward - APC*

It is baffling that the same political actors that midwifed and institutionalised the national rot, corruption, impunity and eroding of our value systems are the same characters posing as voices on the way forward in our national life. How ironic!

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo could start with telling us where the electricity is despite $16billion he spent on the power sector.

Obasanjo's deputy, Alh. Atiku Abubakar should account for the privatisation exercise under his watch which saw national assets sold off to friends and cronies with no benefit to the country.

Successive Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) administrations can also start by accounting for the trillions stolen from our national coffers in the guise of a fraudulent fuel subsidy regime.

While it is well within the rights of these political actors to write skewed letters, spew empty, hypocritical, tongue-in-cheek and two-faced economic magic models in line with their Dubai meeting strategies, this administration is walking the talk with verifiable projects and people-centred interventions that is uplifting Nigerians.

These political actors probably only listen to their own voices because Nigerians have long stopped taking them seriously as they simply lack the antecedents and moral credentials to guide Nigeria and Nigerians to the path of prosperity and progress.

Instead of the "do or die" lingo they introduced to our electioneering, votes are beginning to count as our elections improves steadily.

Their abandoned projects which constituted drainpipes on national resources are being completed by this administration. The brazen culture of impunity and corruption which they institutionalised is being replaced by strong and accountable systems.

The culture of roundtripping and the rested subsidy regime in the petroleum sector has been replaced by a deregulated and accountable petroleum pricing template. Instead of plotting how to sell of national assets, particularly the NNPC to friends, this administration is reforming public sector operations to ensure optimised service delivery.

We are gradually eating what we grow. Our national emergency health response has earned global accolades and recognition as displayed by our COVID-19 response.

Our defence capacity to respond and contain emerging security challenges is now tested and proven. How did Nigeria achieve this? A strong, people-centred and focussed leadership which the President Muhammadu Buhari-led APC administration provides.

Genuine patriots, reputable groups and organizations who are making honest contributions on the deregulation of electricity and petrol prices already see the decision as inevitable and the way to go.

As it stands, Nigeria will save as much as one trillion naira ($2.6 billion) following the deregulation of the petroleum sector, the Petroleum Minister of State Timipre Sylva has stated.

Nigerians trust that the freed up cash will be accounted for and be judiciously invested to develop other critical areas such as infrastructure, health care, education among others.

Just look at these 'Change' chanters...is it not on the premise of a failing country that you guys in APC begged Nigerians to give u a chance to effect 'Change'. Rather than fulfil that promise, you decided to bury the country in a deeper mess. Right now, the country is so insecure, monumentally corrupt, with high unemployment & poverty rate, and on a very high speed lane heading for doom. Among the list of failed countries today, Nigeria has the gold medal.

Gbam

Obasanjo had 8 years to make things right but he didn't, even road to Ota is a mess, he had an accident on Ibadan Lagos express road and proudly said the road wasn't that bad

Yar'Adua a perfect President (RIP) had just 7 point agenda and he wanted a sensible Vice President, like Donald Duke, but Baba forced clueless weak Jonathan on us because of his closeness to late Stella Obasanjo

The mess we are in is all the doing of Obasanjo and his 3rd term agenda, and later agenda of controlling Nigeria through a terminally sick man and a clueless guy

Of all the Northern educated folks, Obasanjo single handedly picked terminally sick Yar'Adua and jailed other qualified people with EFCC, of all the qualified intellectuals of Southern Nigeria he picked Jonathan, ... Obasanjo sat and watch Nigeria burn

BUHARISTS: THE ROTIMI AMECHI IN THEM

Nothing could best described the self serving, hypocrisy and sychophantic boot licking of a typical Buharist, like the leaked audio recording of the DG Buhari Presidential Campaign committee, Rotimi Amechi. In the leaked audio recording he was heard saying "this country can never CHANGE. I swear, the only way, this country can CHANGE is if every body is killed. This country is going no where, i swear"

The DG who is the main marketer of Buhari for the 2019 presidential poll betrayed the fact that he couldn't bring himself to buy what he is marketing to Nigerians, hear him "the president does not listen to anybody, he doesn't care. You can write what you want to write, the president doesn't care. Does he even read? He will read and he will laugh, he will say come, come and see, they are abusing me here"

This revelation has further corroborated what Shehu Garba, Buhari's media aide once said "anytime the president picked a Newspaper, the first thing, he read is the cartoon, he will then laugh and laugh and laugh"

The highly controversial and garrulous, Chairman of the APC, Adams Oshimole was irked, at the great level of indicipline among cabinet members and APC chieftains that he had to threaten "if the president condones disrespect for his office, i will not condone same for the party"

The megalomanic leader of the APC, Bola Tinubu in 2003 said this concerning Buhari "Buhari's ethnocentism would Jeopardize Nigeria's unity" It's not likely he was convince, Buhari has been cured of his enthocentrism in 2015 when he supported him in winning the presidency. He supported him obviously because of his inordinate ambition to succeed Buhari in 2023 and also for his personal aggrandizement.

Even when Buhari has proven Tinubu's prediction correct by his clanishness, ethnicity and regionalism. Buhari's political philosophy of 5% and the 97% is well known to Nigerians. The philosophy seeks to favour his geo political region to the detriment of other regions including Tinubu's south West geo political region, yet Tinubu is willing to sacrifice the progress and unity of this great county on the altar of his 2023 presidential ambition.

The senate president revealed to Nigerians what Tinubu told him that "i will support Buhari on a hospital stretcher to go for second term because in 2023 power will shift to the south west"

The rabble rouser and self confessed die hard Buharist, the governor of Kaduna state, El Rufai is not unaware of the incalculable damage Buharism has done to the socio-economic and political life of this country.

In a leaked memo to the president he wrote "in a very blunt terms Mr president our APC administration has not only failed to manage expectation of population that expected over night CHANGE but has failed to deliver even mundane matter of government. Over all the feelings even among our supporters today is that the APC government is not doing well"

Buharists are not ignorant of the incompetence, ineptitude, cluelessness and corrupt nature of the Buhari's government but the Rotimi Amechi in them will not allow them to admit it.

I am telling you. It is even a shame that such despicable characters as Obasanjo and Atiku, who have no atom of moral justification, are still contributing to the national discourse. The act itself is a national tragedy.

Just the way it should be! Where else is it heard that problem is ever be part of solution except in Nigeria? What gives Obasanjo, Buhari, Atiku, Tinubu, etc. the impression that they're better candidates for Nigeria's leadership than many Nigerian youths aside their superior immersion in intrigue, corruption, etc.?

Quite Interesting. It is really shameful that APC rather than solve issues which for the most part it created, has resolved to diversionary tactics and chasing shadows. They clearly have no answers to the issues bedeviling the country at the moment.
Rather than writing long epistles which are for the most part inconsequential, we challenge the APC to live up to their own campaign mantra and provide security, revive the drowning economy and create jobs.
We wish to remind APC and their paid sympathisers that the ineffective Buhari will be a hero should be leave the economy as he met it but going by his cognitive level of reasoning we suspect it may be more of wishful thinking than reality

PDP knew that their Dundee supporters are suffering from voluntarily induced amnesia. They are pretending to have forgotten the miserable record of PDP 'Covid 16' years of calamities, highlighted by the wicked squandering of the highest revenue Nigeria has ever seen.

I agree because they had the opportunity to do so when they were both president and vice president respectively.
But Obasanjo even gallivanted more than Buhari if we are to be honest.

The only thing I can say is that let the APC led government enjoy their jamboree leadership and let's see how far their ship will sail. cool
