Nairaland has been filled with too many kids. Can we get an honest review , independent, constructive, objective, rational analysis for this debate for us that didn't follow.

Based on what I saw yesterday of the debate. I was expecting something like 51% - 49% in favour of the Pastor. Obaseki wasn't composed enough and did not sound convincing to me.
Really and you called what POI was doing a debate?

The man was campaigning instead of debating.

Lol...the graphics reminds me of the social distancing scoreline that sent Messi to the wilderness looking for another club after Barca were beaten 8 - 2 by Bayern. Channels TV saw the percentage difference which made Obaseki appear with an Iroko tree lead compared to Ize Iyamu's waterleaf score. Channels had to issue a disclaimer before it raises APC supporters BP.

Debate or not, Obaseki is coasting to victory.

Ize-iyamu should wait, next election season, Tinubu will chase Sanwu-olu away (like he did to Ambode) and he will be made the Governor of Lagos.

Exactly

This Edo 2020 election will be determined by the Courts and The Cults. After the results, expect a lot of friend request. Alot of things will change. But there will be very less violence. Yesterday debate was unnecessary, because one was there to abuse the other instead of selling his Simple agenda. In a sane clime, A debate should be for the selling of manifestos and ideologies, not constantly attacking your opponent to the extent that the Moderator had to caution him. He even forgot the question that was put to him on some occassions.

Obaseki clearly knows the difference btw a debate and a campaign unlike dat unintelligent cultist who went in there to attack and cast assertions on obaseki. it is sad dat people who do not live in edo state come online with cheap data to thrash talk and make unintelligent remarks about obaseki. we d edolites will come out in our numbers to vote for obaseki, this poll is just evidence dat obaseki is coasting to victory. 4 + 4 torgba..

PDP and ipob yoots will not even allow us to breath here. Always rushing to say rubbish as if they will vote in the Election.

I'm not surprised because of their antecedents; once they support you, you have 40% chances of winning and if you are the type that uses Nairaland to judge or follow Nairaland for election matter, you would lose hope for APC chance but I'm not bothered because that day, the narrative will change to:

Buhari has suppressed Edo's will.

Democracy in Danger!

Election did not hold in Edo!

The charlade called Election can not withstand the test of time...

And before you know it, they will push obaseki to court and thats where he will end his money on lawyers and the narrative again will change to :

What do you expect from a sharia judge?

The supreme judge is an islamic fundamentalist... We are not surprise... And guess what? After a week, they will be looking for another person to push to political oblivion.

Dear jegede, be careful of this type of people o. They are coming for you after Edo... If you know what is good for you, reject them outrightly.

Enough said.
You know them so well you can write a book about them.

What are they saying?

Obaseki is not a good debater. Ize Iyamu won the debate.

We all heard the revelations and the jabs Ize Iyamu gave in the areas of infrastructural, corruption in agric sector, ownership of modular refineries and Edo State stake, less than 200 doctors in Edo govt employment, health, security, education, and the 3 credits admission to University of Ibadan.

People need to be sincere, I watched it from the beginning to the end and I can boldly say that Ize Iyamu was more prepared and ready. The Pastor punctured every point raised by Obaseki.

As saw the article this morning and the fraudulent statistics depiction....immediately I responded that this is coming from one of the obaseki cronies and not Channel TV as propounded...the level of biased and the sentiment is crystal clear.....
Oneseki has nothing to offer except churning out fictitious figures and statistics for his gullible cronies to be feeding....the early the Edo people understand the better for them and the future of their generation yet unborn...he kept on borrowing money to fund his election campaign...his governance and administrative lapses stinks...

Lol I am from Edo and I will tell you what I learnt yesterday from the debate your Obaseki won. I was shocked Obaseki had not visited the only state specialist hospital in over 4years. Stella Obasanjo he visited only REcently during Covid.how out of touch can one be? I learnt Obaseki borrowed over 2bn for Sobe rice farm with nothing to show and he admitted loses were made. I learnt he had not employed one doctor, nurse or teacher in 4years.I thought it was just campaign talk but seeing the governor unable to counter with employment figure just weak me. I learnt that Obaseki trained each teacher with the sum of 1.5m each. Which debate did you watch?.

And you are not ashamed of watching a debate where someone who has spent 4 years kept saying what he inteded to do after 4 years? It did not bother you that a governor who should be reeling out what he has done in major areas of economy was only saying what he intedn to do in another 4 years? I pity you!
