Nigerian States and Federal Debt Stock data as at 30th June 2020 reflected that the country’s total public debt portfolio stood at N31.01trn.
Further disaggregation of Nigeria’s total public debt showed that N11.36trn or 36.65% of the debt was external while N19.65trn or 63.35% of the debt was domestic.

The total States and FCT domestic debt was put at N4.19trillion with Lagos state accounting for 11.77% of the debt stock while Yobe State has the least debt stock in this category with a contribution of 0.70%.

Total public debt stock increased by $6.5 billion (₦2.4 trillion) from Q1 2020 to Q2 2020, due to the increase in multilateral loans and FGN bonds.

External public debt in Q2 2020 increased to $31.5billion (₦11.4 trillion) as a result of loans from the IMF ($3.4 billion) and World Bank ($400 million). Domestic debt stock also increased by $2.8 billion (₦1 trillion) mostly driven by an increase in FGN bonds by ₦700 billion.

There's nothing bad in borrowing, developed countries too have debts they owe. What is most important is what we have done or doing with what we have borrowed.
Government at all levels have not really shown the justification for what they borrow.

This ridiculousness is getting more ridiculous by the day lipsrsealed

Well, the country should collect a 2 trillion naira loan for me... I'll pay back later wink cool

But seriously, I think next year should see no new capital project. All income and revenue should be used to fix this borrowing problem and save for the coming year.

What's tha business?

My major life problems are:

1. I am a Nigerian

2. I live in Nigeria

3. Buhari is my President.

I might just have to relocate. Lol

But, to where? Naija is where I make my cheddar cry

And we have a professor Osinbajo as vice president.

If he couldn't manage with his Professorial skills, what then can he said to have achieved under this administration.

So many corruption charges hovering around him while he is busy intimidating and harassing the press with machineries of state..

From alpha beta scam to firs looted 94bn to Magu Mobile app transfer of 4bn. All has not been refuted but always using securities to harass the press.

In a sane society, Professor Osinbajo should have taken cue and understanding from what Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe did, by immediately stepping aside (resigning) so as to allow the graft agencies independently investigate the allegations against him without any sort of bias or Influence.

APC has brought more hardship and poverty into the country since their inception in 2015 till date.Tagging all our struggling youths from humbling backgrounds,a fraudsters, armed robbers, corrupt by sending all of them to prisons(Most especially from the South). Its now difficult to put on good cloth or look good on the street because fear of unknown and harassment from their various biased and already comprised security agencies.
PDP should have capitalized on this evil and satanic agenda/trends to campaign against this useless and wicked administration.
No sane and sensible youth should vote for this evil party.

You know the funny thing about all these debts buhari is incurring for Nigeria; he's not planning to pay back anyone.
After he leaves in 3 years, successive administrations will have to pay back with whatever is left and whatever buhari is able to achieve with his loans.
Of course the hungry Nigerians will be the ones squeezing out the funds for repayment.
