Benin is obviously the most number one city in Nigeria which rival the popularity of the state when viewed from the world. there are lot of people even in Nigeria who know about Benin but don't know about Edo been called a state and they tend to refer to Benin as a state.

I don't think Onitsha should be there. If you doubt answer this question, have you seen or heard anybody refer to Onitsha as state like Ibadan, abakiliki, Zaria, Calabar and port Harcourt?
