Rwanda is a landlocked country in the Great Rift Valley where the African Great Lakes region and East Africa converge. One of the smallest countries on the African mainland, its capital city is Kigali.

Generally, Africa is not viewed by most people as a good place to be in; this is because of the poverty, corruption and insecurity prevalent with the region with the continent getting into bad press most of the times.

However, the generalization of events in Africa is erroneous; with the continent having 54 countries not all countries do so badly as many belief. A country that is poised to stand out is Rwanda. Rwanda has been doing so well in global indexes; check for instance it’s murder rate, for every 100,000 Rwandan residents it is recorded and confirmed that that there are only 2.5 murders per year. Impressive right? That’s even lower than India’s 3.2 or the United States’ 5.4.

Also, Rwanda is ranked as the 48th least corrupt country in the world and that’s definitely not bad for a continent already ravaged by corruption just behind only Botswana. Adding to this already impressive and outstanding accolades, the country has an average life expectancy of 67 slightly below the world average.

Just 25 years ago, an average Rwandan had a life expectancy of just 28 years. This was due to the massive genocide that took place in the country way back in 1994 where there were ethnic clashes and which resulted in the untimely death of nearly 800,000 people. After the war, the country embraced peace and set out a plan to move further to where they are today.

Rwanda is ranked 15th in the fastest growing economy in the world as the government has set out a clearly defined mission- They want to become the Singapore of Africa. Why the comparison with Singapore? Singapore is a country in Asia that experienced rapid change from a third world country to a first world country. It’s former leader Lee Kuan Yew played a major role in making this possible. In global indexes, Singapore sits at the top of all the indicators. It is the 8th safest, 3rd richest, 3rd least corrupt and 3rd longest living country in the world. Just about 60 years ago, Singapore’s economy had a GDP size of of about 700 million dollars. Today, that number is about 320 billion dollars.

Women make up 62 percent of Rwanda’s national legislature, far more, proportionally, than any other country. Here’s how the country’s most notable conflict—the 1994 genocide—paved the way for gender equality.

You made that decision because I was yet to upload pictures.
Go through the pictures and see if you'll choose it over either of the two places you mentioned.

Rwanda is really going far, her Government is working to improve their economy and also working to attract tourists so they can be recognized around the world, hence the "Visit Rwanda" deal they signed with Arsenal.

But in this part of West Africa we found ourselves in, the government elected by Zone-bies do not even care about the country, they don't care about the populace, they are hell-bent on making everything Nigeria has theirs, even going to borrow to still loot it, and also taxing Nigerians that benefit less than Nothing from them.

The only way this country will improve is when the Zone-bies are annihilated alongside those corrupt persons in Government.

I can't ask for war though, but aftermath of war in any nation, region or community is always a good story to tell if they have good administration. There will be massive and rapid infrastructural development, new policy will be easy to made, modern roads, schools, hospitals, sport facilities will be built. You don't have to appeal to anyone because you want to build roads where there were none before, people accept all new developments with good feelings, no one to compensate because there will be need to demolish any old structure, there won't be any old or useful structure after any war.

This is why South East of Nigeria should be better than any region, but some fools there don't even know that they are still underdeveloped compared to other regions that have experienced war in the past, they come here and keep shouting that their region is better than other regions, especially South West despite the fact that they have experienced war in the past. This is stupidity, they should go and check what countries that have experienced war or natural disaster look like after the sad incidents.

na Mumu you be, how can you compare that tiny country with 12m against Nigeria, it's not even as advanced as Lagos not to talk of Nigeria... Nigerians should sometimes learn to talk without bias, Rwanda is doing great because they don't have a lot of mouth to feed, the country is even landlocked

There are countries in the same Africa that has less than 2m population but they ain't in the level of Rwanda.
You said Rwanda isn't as advanced as Nigeria? How exactly is Nigeria is advanced? Only an ignorant and unlearned person will say this.

Nothing like bias bruv, stop using population as an excuse for Nigeria's backwardness. If population is a problem why don't we break up?
Call a spade a spade, if our leaders had vision like Paul kagame of Rwanda and stopped looting our resources by now Nigeria wouldn't be the way it is currently.

use your brain, stop talking like an idiot... the companies in Lagos alone Rwanda doesn't have half of it not to now talk of the whole Nigeria, they don't even have a seaport... WTF is wrong with you, yes! currently naija ain't working properly and has been mismanaged over the years but to use Rwanda as a yardstick to compare Nigeria is basically nonsensical.

I would've showered you without enough facts that makes Rwanda ranks above Nigeria but nah.
Your incessant display of childishness by throwing unwarranted insults around since your first post doesn't deserve responses.

I don't know why some Nigerians don't like accepting the truth. Rwanda has better power supply and infrastructural development than Nigeria. Also a better place for business.
Average Rwanda residents earn more than average Nigerians and they also have a national airline.

Well, let your insults reply you.

what do you want me to say? I never said population was a bad thing.
Rwanda is fortunate to be a country with few population and a good leadership at that even tho it's surrounded by impoverished nations. you can't compare the continent of Asia with Africa, so for a country to be doing that well means they have some advantage over other African countries

As in eh. See the way he phrased it like population is synonymous to underdevelopment.

China, Indonesia, Malaysia etc are more populous than Nigeria yet they ain't improvised and underdeveloped like Nigeria. People will be supporting nonsense in the name of patriotism, smh.
