Yes... Why not
Re: Should A Born Again Christian Involve In Active Politics? by SLOVFO(m): 9:48am On Sep 20, 2020
Yes and no.
One thing Christians should know is that "world politics" is not easy. It's a different arena from the Christian arena. You only go into it as a Christian if you are empowered or "sent" by God. Not every Christian go into politics and return same. Go and ask... moreover we don't need Christians to be in politics for our country to develop. Japan for instance is not ruled by Christians, yet humanly speaking, they have a more organized and prosperous nation than ours .

We need godly, enlightened and principled Christians in the society at large to effect national change. Not necessarily having Christians as politicians. An unprincipled Christian may perform worse than a pagan.

You have all
forgotten this Bible verse.

Luke 9:62 ►
And Jesus said to him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

It's possible for real Christian's to take active part in politics in order to sanitize the polity.

Let me rephrase your question, should a born again Christian vote at all? If yes, a born again can contest

Dear brothers and sisters , I like to ask , can a born again Christian get involve in active politics.?

Or

Will it be proper to always be praying for leadership which might have been involved in occult or an apostate or antichrist to rule well and favour the masses which oftentimes doesn't work out?

Or

We should just remain indifferent and hope for the best ??

Your take

THERE IS NOTHING WRONG FOR A BORN AGAIN ACTIVELY INVOLVES IN POLITICS..... JUST AS WE CAN ALL SEE IN NIGERIA, THE POLITICAL ENVIRON IS POROUS TO THE EDGE THAT U HAVE TO GET UR HAND DIRTY BEFORE GETTING A SEAT... BUT TRUST ME, ALL DIS HAPPENS BECAUSE THE SO CALLED CHRISTIAN DECIDED TO LEAVE THE SEAT AND LOOK AWAY WIC IS NOW ACTING LIKE A KARMA LAW NOW ATTACKING THEM....

PLEASE NIGERIA AND NIGERIANS HAVE SUFFERED ENOUGH LET CHRISTIANS ACTIVELY INVOLVE AND LET WE THE CHRISTIAN FOLLOWERS GET OUR VOTERS CARD TO VOTE THE GENIUE CANDIDATE INTO SEAT THIS IS D ONLY WAY WE CAN ALL SEE THE NIGERIA WE DREAM ABOUT....

GOD BLESS YOU ALL AND HAPPY SUNDAY

Ever wonder if God cares if you cast a ballot?
Or does He care how you cast your ballot?
The answer to both of those questions is “Yes.”
Yet how would Jesus have us vote?

 Our Biblical View of Politics

When Jesus was on earth,
He did not reside in a democratic republic like Nigeria.
He lived under the oppression of an imperial dictatorship and had no opportunity to cast a ballot.

He declared:“Render to Caesar that which is Caesars, and to God, the things that are Gods.”

Instead of distancing believers from any connection with a civil government, he indicated there was a level of responsibility to engage in civic matters.
Instead of having political leaders imposed upon us,
we have the God-given opportunity to select our leaders.

Shouldn’t God’s people be instrumental in influencing the selection?
After all, some set of values is going to govern or control the nation.
Given what Scripture reveals about the character of God, do you think He cares whether our leaders promote the killing of the unborn or the destruction of the biblical definition of marriage?

It only makes sense that Christians should be at the forefront of selecting leaders who will govern according to God’s principles and will formulate policies more likely to bring God’s favor.

Your vote is your power Fellow Nigerians.

We Rise!

God bless you sister Savvy.
Have a blessed Sunday ahead.

Thanks beautiful Sis.

BTW,
We no be brother o,
We are simply WE.

Hahahaha grin cheesy wink.

Take care dearie. kiss

Allahu Akbar. (God is Great!)
Does that makes you feel happy now?! wink

Even some of the self acclaimed born again politicians are carroed away by $$
Re: Should A Born Again Christian Involve In Active Politics? by Nobody: 9:54am On Sep 20, 2020
A Born Again Christian should be involved in politics. But not a priest or pastor. Here are the reasons.

Being born again means accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and saviour and giving our life to him but doing that does not stop us from sin. We all sin every day and go back to calvary almost on daily basis.

If our life is riddled with daily sin outside of politics, why should we avoid politics because it can predispose us to sin?

Staying away from politics will not guarantee Christians heaven nor will it reduce our temptation to sin, it will only leave politics to hardened criminals, people without conscience and the other religion which seeks to destroy Christians and civilization.

However, according to the Bible, Pastors or priests are barred from any other business beside what they are called for.

Provided you don't shed blood, worship idols and seek terrestrial forces.
There's no wrong in helping shape a better society by joining politics

Tell me which Nigerian politician isn't doing all you mentioned above ??. Even your zonal VP pastor Osinbajo belong.

You can get involve if you are led. We have righteous kings and leaders in the Bible. Joseph rose to a post of prime minister, Esther became the first lady (Queen) to King Xerxes

Any honest man wouldn't be involved in Nigerian politics. A born again Christian or pastor is just a title and nothing more. People should be judged by the content of their character n actions n not by their religious beliefs.
