proper planning, Nigeria as a whole is not planned. Houses are built everywhere, close to the road, under power lines, in industrial areas etc. Town planning as we used to call it back then is dead, cos I don’t know why a reasonable government will approve residential house plan hundreds of feet close to gas tunnel in different part of the country. The risk is very high but corruption and employment of non qualified people into important positions is one of the many causes of this problem. There are other means of transportation as well, too many trucks on our roads. The more trucks we have transporting petrochemical materials the higher the chances of such occurrence

The Nigerian police will be more useful in coordinating traffic than them doing fire service job.

Sorry to the injured peeps. I wish you all a speedy recovery. cool

We don't test our drivers in this country!
Some can have Weed+Tramadol+alcohol making 40% of their blood volume! And we will be blaming witches.

Too much greed in Nigeria. Pipeline would be in a place but money for maintaining the area where the pipeline is would be getting paid to someone in far Away abuja.

In my area in pH we don't have road cause there's a pipeline around the area. We are suffering bad road, but the person eating the money for the pipeline being there in the first place would be in abuja

No value for human life at all in Nigeria. These incidents keep happening AGAIN and AGAIN. Haba!

Philipponzaghi, I hope you will add this to that your list you are pasting about. A better use of time would be challenging the leaders to address issues like this.
People cannot go to bed and wake up assured of a new day. What a shame!!
