Kidnapping, robbery and cultism is a major factor all over the country Uyo inclusive but more pronounced in Calabar.
farady:

Please, how would you rate Uyo in terms of kidnapping, robbery and cultism?

I beg to differ. The most hostile set of people on AKS are from or in Eket and Oron. Uyo is about the most friendly and laid back.
Oron hostile? If I knack you juju now Dem go sey I wicked.

Well for transportation
Air fare cost NGN20,500 per adult to CALABAR
Fare to the hotel from Calabar airport NGN2,000
Journey from Calabar to Uyo NGN2,100
Journey from Uyo to Eket: NGN1,500
Journey from Eket to Ibeno Beach: NGN600 to and fro.

I hope this is sufficient

No matter where your hotel is in Calabar, I repeat, no matter where it is, it won't cost you more than NGN500 to get there for a drop in. You could have gotten to the road side and use a taxi.

If you are looking for rest from the hustle and bustle of life, you'll enjoy Cali more than Lagos and PH. But give yourself like 1 month when the relaxation mood is over then you'll want to run back to Lagos and PH.

Hotel fees?

During non-festival period in Calabar/Uyo, standard hotel rooms could go as low as 6k/night. However, during festive period, standard rooms go as high as 15-18k. This is also applicable to the class of hotel. A no-star hotel cannot be same rate with a 3 or 5-star hotel.

Anyways, I base in Calabar but from Akwa Ibom. If you need further information regarding tourism or a normal visit to any of the states, kindly PM me.

Delve Hotel has two branches. One at Mary Slessor and the other at Atimbo. But then, none should cost up to 2k.

Everyone who has been to Calabar in the past 2/3 years can see that it is a city in decline. Meanwhile Uyo is on the upswing.
What do you think is the cause of the declined?
