Qualifications and experience required of candidates

Candidates for the post of professor should possess a post–graduate (preferably Doctorate) degree in the relevant field (s) with at least 10 years post – qualification experience in teaching and research in Universities or similar institution of higher learning. Demonstrable ability to initiate, develop and supervise research projects, a good record of scholarly publications in reputable journals. A capacity for academic leadership.

For the post of Reader, same as above but with at least 8 years experience.

For the post of Senior Lecturer, Candidates should possess a post graduate (preferably Doctorate) degree with at least five years of teaching and research in a University. Scholarly Publications will be an advantage.

For the post of Lecturer 1, candidates should possess a post – graduate (preferably Doctorate) degree with at least three years of teaching and research in a University or comparable institutions. Industrial experience as well as scholarly publication will be an advantage.

For the post of Lecturer 11, candidates should possess a post – graduate (preferably Doctorate) degree in area of specialization.

For the post of Assistant Lecturer, candidates should possess a Master’s degree in area of specialization plus evidence of discharge certificate from NYSC.
