Did they just acquired all the cameras?
Even if they did so, 1 billion is too big. That is 1000 million Naira. The most costly thing they paid for was the AIRTIME subscription on DSTV.
The next thing they paid for of value is the salary of the video crew( they can't be more than 100 in number).

The rest is inflated ego. 3.5Billion is certainly unrealistic
To uplink a live 1hour event on NTA cost about 10million Naira per hour. That is NTA and their prices are usually cheaper than independent stations like channels or ait.
Now imagine the video production cost involved in streaming a show live via SAT, IP and Mobile for about 80 days 24/7?? (the hourly amount would be cheaper cos it's an in-house production) but still.....
Eutelsat, Dstv's uplink satellite would most likely take 50% ahead for live feed (uplink alone!)for the duration of the show, cos it's a pop up channel.
Now, do the maths for production.
not to talk of vendors for food and other essentials, then utility bills... lol

Most all y'all not into broadcasting would argue with the cost, but the truth is with the economy in turmoil, they even had it 'easy', plus the ROI is looking impressive.
₦3.5 billion is a fair amount, no arguments.

The house itself and the design is more than 100m. If you are into real estate and properties maintenance you should know better.

This year BBN lockdown is the best so far. Viewers were entertained with the housemates drama, gossips, tasks etc. I literarily stayed glued to channel 198 @ least 15 hours daily. Multichoice deserves whatever margins they get from organising this year's BBN show. I can't wait for season 6 to start I swear

The stupidity of Nigerian youths is baffling. Just imagine the amount of money they contributed into the waiting laps of these south Africans. Like our amiable Prof Soyinka once said and I quote " Most Nigerians are incapable of deep thought" Our leaders know these that's why our country is in a mess cos those that should challenge them are busy chasing shadows like BBN. So now after all the euphoria what next?

It's far much cheaper to buy a channel on DSTV for three months to 1 year. A yearly subscription on DSTV cannot exceed 300,000USD.
How much do you think other stations especially the religious station pay for DSTV to host their channel. Is it possible that BBN will pay 100,000USD for salaries of workers during the program?

Forget about the executives of the program, each one would have paid themselves nothing less that 1,000,000USD on a monthly basis so that at the end, they arrive at some billions in expenditure
