The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Mr. Boss Mustapha, has declared that he and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo are very firmly and irrevocably committed to the ideal of one and indivisible Nigerian nation.

In a statement he issued yesterday, Mustapha frowned at the sensational slant accorded the remarks by Osinbajo last Sunday during the special inter-denominational service at the National Ecumenical Centre to commemorate the country’s 60th independence anniversary.

The SGF, who stood in for Osinbajo at the Sunday’s occasion, also lauded President Muhammadu Buhari’s consistent efforts to strengthen the unity of the country.

He argued that any suggestion that Osinbajo is not committed to the ideal of the indivisibility of the country is a manifest misrepresentation of their common position as a government.

In his message titled Together ”… Come, Let Us Rebuild…”, Osinbajo had on Sunday used the story of Nehemiah in the Bible to support his remarks, urging Christians to be prepared to contribute their quota to national development.

He also spoke about cracks on the wall of the country, which though was yet unbroken, could lead to a break if not properly addressed.

”We might wonder, what is the significance of a wall to the lives of a people? But if we appreciate that in those days, a wall around a city signified security, prosperity, peace and contentment we would understand that the wall signified the essence of a nation-state,” Osinbajo reportedly said.

Why are they scared on Nigeria getting divided when they're yet to fix the problem, this Nigeria will not likely last till 2023, everyone is quite tired of one Nigeria.

Boss u r decieving ursef.. I wud av supported break up if I want to be playful.. But jokes aside, we both know Nigeria can't break come 2023... It can't just work... This is reality..

Igbos Elites are saying the only way to keep Nigeria is by giving Igbo Presidency... Which mean if Igbo get a slot for presidency, then what will happen to Biafra dream..

Yorubas are shouting oduduwa, if presidency comes to South West, they will kill the idea of break up..

The only reason we are shouting break up is bcoz of Buhari incompetency and nepotic attitude...

If south get the presidential seat now, those noise will die off naturally

Who cares?

We've been doing the same thing for six decades with no tangible progress. This present arrangement is not working.

I don't want total disintegration because our population is a strength and a big advantage. Lets try the much touted regional form of government. Each region should develop at its pace. It will spur healthy competition and positive growth amongst the Federating units.

always talking about "one indivisible country". Part of the reason why Nigeria is this way is because we aren't honest with ourselves. We enjoy living in denial. We all know the people that make up the entity called Nigeria feel no love for themselves but we enjoy living the lie. Nigeria is not the only multi-enthic country living together, Malaysia is also a multi-enthic country that lives in enthic harmony with one another. The reason Malaysians feel love and patriotism towards their country is because the leader structured the country is such a way that every ethnic group is carried along with no one feels marginalized. That's why it's possible for them to conduct a referendum and there'll be a higher possibility that they'll remain as one. This is something the Nigerian government can never dare. it's their worst nightmare. They know we are all forcing love amongst ourselves. they failed to carry every ethnic group along giving the world the illusion of a country that is firmly united.
Buhari's administration has successfully heightened the discord to all whole new level, far worse than the civil war. making it look this country belongs to a section of the people while the other "5%" can wrought in hell. No wonder everybody in the south of Nigeria secretly nurse the idea of secession in their heart and waiting for the perfect time to implement it.

As much as I'd like to be optimistic, I think it's better we go back to the pre 1914 arrangement

Osinbade is only useful when they (Fulani mafias) only need his name or presence to clean their mess. Asides that, he is as useless as the "P" in Psychology. Dude ain't useful or active @ all in this government.
BTW, Nigeria is 60 but Buhari has set this country 100 yrs backwards. FOR THE 1st TIME, NIGERIANS ARE ASHAMED OF CELEBRATING THEIR INDEPENDENCE.

If you've anyone traveling outside Nigeria or a Nigerian living outside the country that wants a calling service that'd enable him/her call family and friends in Nigeria at a very cheap rate.

With "Smile Voice App" you'll have a local number and call Nigerian numbers for as low as #510 for 65mins, #1020 for 135mins and #3070 for 430mins.

It is far more better than ROAMING. You won't be billed for receiving call. The caller will also be charged at the normal local operator rate.

Benefits:
1. Super Clear voice call
2. Cheap and affordable low call rate compared to roaming.
And so much more.

To get registered and activated on the smile voice service, Kindly check our signature for our contacts.

I don't think anyone in this government is committed to the unity of this country, with lopsided appointments, favoring herdsmen and concentrating projects in some parts of the country at the expense of others. Absolutely nothing to celebrate today.

When they want to confuse people, they use things like this, then people keep quiet, while they continue killing people and taking their lands, do you think, it will not reach you eventually, or you are just among the people that spread propaganda
