The people of Makogi a neighboring community to Magboro town along Lagos Ibadan Express way in Obafemi Owode LGA Ogun State today held a peaceful protest against the chairman of Makogi Area Community Development Committee (MACDC) over the following; 1. Rotimi Afolabi continued collection of N180,000.00 to connect people to Electricity grid in Makogi is denial of the poor people in Makogi the right to have light in their houses and it is in-human and anti people. 2. That, Rotimi Afolabi should present to the general house the community audited bank accounts and notes to the account domiciled with Ecobank, Sterling and Zenith Bank 3. That Rotimi Afolabi should stop the misappropriation of the people's hard earned money 4. That all Makogi resident rejects his autocratic administration 5. That Rotimi Afolabi cannot continue to warehouse the community cheque book in his bedroom,sign the cheques with his chronies without recourse to all members 6. That Rotimi Afolabi cannot continue to be the procurement officer, disbursement officer, appropriation officer and awards contracts with impunity 7. That we reject continue intimidation of Landlords and residents who are opposed to his autocratic rule with Makogi Police Station the same Police Station built by the community. Therefore, we the people of Makogi passionately appeal to His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun to save us from this oppression and continued threat to life because his continued leadership can no longer gurantee peace and progress in Making.

Just few weeks ago, about 1000 women in Makogi ACDC were empowered even extending it to neighbouring Areas for the development of their Area by an NGO been supported by Coca Cola. Ask the Protesters what they have done in their CDA instead of wanting to destabilize and destroy the development and legacy been laid by Makogi ACDC. History will judge those behind this protest as Makogi is a reference Area in term of Fourth tier of government in Ogun State. Government should assist to check all these enemy of progress o |

The so-called protesters are rented youths from neighbouring community. They are lead by some residents with some disgruntled CDA leaders which MACDC under the leadership of Mr Rotimi Afolabi refused to share the community funds with and thus start to accused Mr Afolabi of wrongdoing. Pls ask them - in a space of years, the leadership of MACDC with support of the stakeholders of Mr Rotimi Afolabi purchased 4 transformers, built the first Storey Police Station. Please government should ask the following leaders who is sponsoring them to destabilize the peace of Makogi ACDC. They are Mr Michael Ologundudu; Mr Adio, Mr Tony Imeh, Mr Sikiru Adebayo, Mr Quadri, Mr Charles David, Mr Bode Ajayi, Mr Lawal as well as Mr Tayo Olaseinde, Government should investigate them for some financial appropriation in their various CDAs. |

NaijaOlododo:Thanks so very much for this write ups, my only concern is that we are seening typical Nigerian/Yoruba playing out before us and we elites in makogi are looking without counter actions in regards to what this thugs are doing to our community, it saddens my heart to see that some jegugu reja that has been doing community for decades without any achievements are the ones behind all this happening in our Makogi. We will not allow wolewole, ajegunle agbero, self acclaimed electrician, they are all thieves, they planned to enrich themselves with community money which they have been doing in the past...........WE REFUSE TO BOW DOWN TO YOUR BIDDING. |

Makogi LCDA under the current leadership is the envy of neighboring communities, I wonder what has gone wrong to warrant this outcry. They should have a roundtable discussion to straighten things out, my one cent |

This man so called mr Rotimi has been doing bad things to the community 1). Started a project he can never finish for years with the community money controlling community money’s by keeping the community check in his bedroom and starting buy expensive cars with community money mr Rotimi pls what did you for a living at first place (scam)� 2). Bringing thug to the community as king (land grabber) this so call mr Rotimi collected 500k from unknow man to signed for him to deceive Govt that he as been Baale for years which it a lie, And this man as been dis-stopping The peace of the community with this so called mr Rotimi Afolabi and co.
