It makes sense that when you have just one you maximise its potentials. Towns and cities with multiple facilities can afford dedicated arenas. If your first business is a bakery your first car should be a pickup or minivan not a coupe. That is common sense.
Lovely

So it is built not to be maintained or what....?
It won't attract high level sporting events with an astro turf. Our national teams certainly will not be heading there.
Hoteliers had better lead a protest to government.
Remember we have 3 standard stadium already in Akwa Ibom state and are all natural turfs.. So I think they are kind of this modern Astro Turf that makes sense..
Countries like island, Finland uses and USA uses this kind of turfs

They always have advice for Akwa ibom state on how to invest their money and where to invest. But this same pseudo intellectuals fail to offer advice to their own respective state government on how to invest, frankly you rarely see what their state government are doing.

If this same stadium was built in their state you will see them posting it 1000 times on all social networks forums.
But once its akwa ibom you see the coming out with their pained narratives.

Clear example was the airport in uyo, they called us all sorts of names and told us Akwa ibom does not need an airport today some of their state are attempting the same after seeing Akwa ibom succeed, so you see them complaining that their states dont need airports?

When ibom air came they said the same thing today some of them are flying ibom air and posting pictures of themselves aboard the aircraft.

I wont be suprised if this same folks will be watching our state league matches on their televisions when it starts off.

It's clearly envy. Don't mind them

You guys are doing a good job and I admire how you all come together to showcase your state. Pls keep it up, don't let these toxic beings stop you.

That is not common sense, Sir. If the plan for state governments is to continue building substandard stadiums with tracks all the time, the money can be better utilized maintaining existing stadiums ... I'm sure Akwa Ibom has at least 3 stadiums that need repair and maintenance including the Universities sports centres.

If you're talking about maximizing potentials, then repair and maintain existing stadiums, fund the football club(s) using the stadium.

How many professional clubs are in Akwa Ibom? What exactly are they building the stadium for?

And 80% of your entire state are controlled by them, I read on Facebook how your people were crying that Igbo people are buying up your lands and marrying away your wives. And you're here calling me Igbo slave, something that can't happen in Ikwerre Land talkless of Rivers.... Shameless Akwadwarfs.

But why are people acting so salty and pained?! If Akwa Ibom people choose to celebrate a stadium, why is it your headache? From Yorubas vs Igbos that won't let us rest on this forum, you now want to start Akwa Ibom vs PH, you people should give a rest. Grow up!

If you have nothing doing, go and create threads for your own state.

We can't compare with chestbeaters like Akwadwarfs.

Your stupidity is beyond scientific explanation, the last AFCON team please call one person from your state ie Rivers State that was in the team.

E b like one Akwa Ibom guy collect u babe and u can't nurse the pain, if he handled your babe better than you please accept my sympathy.

U talk like your state is better, go and google the amount Amaechi constructed that low class stadium and it will shock u to realize that it's more expensive than the one Akpabio constructed.

You are not from Rivers but only claiming Rivers cos u are ashamed of your state.

Unam ikot!

Useage and maintenance consideration

That's why we are lack behind in everything an African man do. How many football pitch in Europe are demof turf grass. They use natural grass and feel the nature, here we copy anything whether useful to us or not. The turf you will still need to change after about 5 years.

Is it not incredible that poor country of many unemployed people will prefer imported grass to local grass to be maintained scrupulously by workers to circulate the money in their economy?
