Inasmuch as I don't support Atiku, as accountants, we were aware that the external debts was $3.6bn as at 2007 when Obj left. The amount was not seen as material given the size of Nigeria, ability to pay and the huge debt burden before then.

white man goes to the bank to borrow money for his personal development through mortgage loan he pays back in 30 years, student loan for tuition in the best University, Car loan for a new car which he pays for in five years and sell the Tokunbo to Africans while getting another new one, Oyinbo government borrow 100% of their GDP to fix infrastructure and everyone pays back through tax

Black man goes to the bank to deposit and save his own money while banks get richer charging for saving with them, instead of getting a loan to develop he sees loan as gbese, or haram

.
Why did we prosper between 1999 and 2007 with relatively little debt increase then? You want to sell the idea that debt is needed to grow personally and nationally.

You were making sense until you got to the emboldened.

Banks don't charge anyone for depositing with them.

Instead, they give depositors some interests that are very little

Stamp duty, ATM maintanance fees, cash withdrawal fees isn't that far more than the tiny interest you are talking about

I take it with these generalization, that you have never tried to get a loan from a Nigerian bank?

Can you compare the level at which they reduced external debt to any other administration?, Oga leave matter, for that side them really really try.. I give it to OBJ and Atiku

And of course, Ngozi (NOI) was also in the equation. That's using round pegs in round holes...

Just because it wasn't exactly true as the debt management office is saying, that is why Uncle BuBu wants to plunge us into more debt that the debt management office will be proud of.

Useless govt talking about things they will/can never achieve.

Nigeria, a country where more than half of its annual budget always ends up in leaders' personal accounts for personal interest. Why will the country not be in huge debt?

you should know that there is no loan or mortgage system functioning in Nigeria like the one in US or Europe. it was never our wish to buy everything in cash at hand but the system was never created for Nigerians to access credit facilities.
