Just like the header, it's my personal opinion.

MTN services are grossly overpriced. I personally refused loading MTN since the beginning of this year, because of a bad experience I had with them precisely in November last year.

I felt it's a long time, so I just asked for N500 MTN voucher this morning, for which the seller had N400 denomination so I loaded N400.

Being that I am on one of their usual subscriber platforms, the N400 offered a bonus of N1,000 which could be utilized for browsing. So I started browsing with the N1,000 bonus by 8am on UC browser, strictly on light web pages like Nairaland.

To my greatest surprise, before 12noon, (I was doing other things and dropping the phone intermittently), the N1,000 browsing bonus is exhausted. I even tried to make one call, just one call with the bonus, to which they refused, saying I don't have enough balance to make call.

Meanwhile, the main credit paid off a loan I took from them.

I had to exit UC browser and return to Opera free or use my Etisalat SIM.

This is crazy.

I will use N400 for 3 or more days on other networks, both for browsing and making calls, it may not even finish in 3 days.

There was a time I was giving these people N1,500 every week just for browsing or even N5,000 monthly. Aside loading for call making.

This life is funny.
I'm a glo user and I'm extremly frustrated with the slow network.
Tomorrow I plan on buying an MTN sim card.
Imagine it takes 2 mins to send WhatsApp message
