As the heading states, I'm 33yrs old and I have never had any job experience before.

I studied tourism and leisure management only at the national diploma level. I finished with upper credit.

I'm not really conversant with the job market and considering applying for jobs.

I know my age might possibly be an hindrance to my chance of being able to land one.

I was hoping peeps familiar with, those who are or were in my shoes can offer advice in what ever form.

Apply for jobs in hotels. Don't include your age in your CV. Try to complete your education by doing your HND or DE. Don't ever let your age discourage you. Don't even think your age! Just continue to move, live happily. "Age is just a number"

Your case is not hopeless, infact it is better than so many people.
I for one, I'm 40 and I don't have a job nor a business. I'm not even married. But I have hope that things will be better, because I have a God I serve; who created me and who said in Jeremiah 29:11-12; "For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. Plans for good and not of evil. To give you a future and hope. You will pray to me and I'll answer you"

You can apply to restaurants, Travel Agencies, hotels and recreational outlets like ikoyi club 1938, ikeja country club.
Apply as an officer or a supervisor! Arrange your CV in a way that shows you have experience.

Better still, you can decide not to involve any experience and do a voluntary work (you work for free to get the experience)

Don't sit at home. Go out. You can have a call plan of places to visit. Google 4/5 star hotels in Lagos mainland, then island. Visit them one by one with your CV. You need to be very bold and outspoken. Seek to see the GM and table your case before him. Speak with confidence, letting him/her know what you're bringing onboard. Do so in top class restaurants too.

During the trying times, I discarded pride, entered street and worked any work.....I worked in bet9ja shop for 2yrs, cleaner in union bank for 3 month b4 i was posted to NBC Coca-cola, Ikeja for 2yrs(contract staff).

The hustle has not been easy but we need to survive.....currently a civil servant but that's not my last bus-stop, I have plans....they say; if u want to build a wall, you should start from a brick, with time you'll build the wall.

Why not apply for hotel jobs. I mean classy hotels . Since that's within your area of speciality

Meanwhile come to owerri, you will get a job with your certificate. That's the only booming industry in owerri. Your age does not mayyer. At least you can be a porter or a barman

Ok, I'll be real with you. No experience but you should definitely have some skills or passion.
For example, when I went to beg for food during my periods of joblessness, this middle aged lady discovered that I could massage her feet very well. And guess what, she employed me as a feet massager. Pay was 30k per month.
Then after some days she discovered I could service her rustic natural engine. Thus I was promoted to 'servicer'. Pay was 100k per month.
So my guy, there's always something you can do. Search deep!

On a lighter note, you can still create a resume and highlight more of skills and competencies with a powerful summary or profile whichever to show you're willing to work. I suspect your parents are very okay but still you need to get something doing.
You can consider Military but with your age I doubt if it's possible.
Nothing is impossible if you put your mind to it.
