Even If Nigeria Breaks Up, Our Lives Will Not Improve –Pastor Sam Adeyemi
According to Adeyemi on his verified Twitter handle, the culture of leadership that makes leaders to consume most of the resources and to leave most people impoverished will likely continue.

BY SAHARAREPORTERS, NEW YORKOCT 07, 2020

Senior Pastor of Daystar Christian Centre, Sam Adeyemi, has said that Nigerians’ lives might not improve if the country finally breaks up or restructures.

According to Adeyemi on his verified Twitter handle, the culture of leadership that makes leaders to consume most of the resources and to leave most people impoverished will likely continue.

2.The first restructuring we need, and this is true for much of Africa, is for power to shift from political leaders to the citizens, so leaders become accountable, citizens have esteem and are empowered to prosper, and occupying public office is for service, not money-making.

— Sam Adeyemi (@sam_adeyemi) October 6, 2020
4. Citizens and elite that have conscience must push for this now. Perhaps, then, new structures of government can serve us well. We need to show that the African can rise above base instincts to think, organise himself and build prosperous economies.

The country needs to break up so we can find out. We have tried everything else without success.

Breakup may save lives and improve a sense of brotherliness as we used to be before some wanderers came to join negative and positive live wires together, the ensuring disorder is what we are suffering since.

The south east will be rid of criminal elements under state protection. That alone is enough to support the balkanization of Nigeria.

I tell you.

If you know how annoying it is for a governor to loot his state dry and go scot free just because the legal system is completely useless?

And federal police will be escorting the same governor and his family members forever?

Well observed

Is it not the same improper citizens that will still inhabit the products of the disintegrated entity

People keep talking as if it is aliens that will make up the new countries

I infinitely agree wit d MOG!

Frankly, if it's stil d same crop of unscrupulous leaders dt wil govern their respective regions or states after d break up, there's great proclivity dt they all wil continue wit their avarice & swindling habits in their respective territories!

Looting and or corruption is already in their blood & wldn't get purged except they are stripped of being at d helms of affairs, while giving d opportunities 2 d younger generations!

In fact, there's dis proverbial Congolese saying dt;

"Habit is like a full grown mountain, difficult 2 get over & hard 2 pull down"!

Jst like d leopard, they wil neva wash off their corruption spots, no matter how rain falls on them!

Thus, d break up truly won't improve d pple's well being as they wld stil get immiserated under their various greedy leaders or looters, as d case may be!

This is the big lie we keep telling ourselves ...I don't know about others but I know the Igbo Nation and igbos would be better if we break up

Merit and patriotic citizens can do wonders in the life of any nation ....

Someone would say why are we not developing in the states ...it's simply because most of our politician derive their power through the help of the northern power brokers they are always loyal to them ....imo state is going to waste 4 years right now ...all thanks to north

APC refused to pick and ngwa candidate in abia so that ikepazu would win and give buhari 25%

If we igbos elect our own leaders ....and handle our economic policies ...I'm.100% sure our GDP per capital would hit $15k in 10 years

The is the bitter truth. What this nation need first and foremost is character restructuring. Unless that happens, every other experiment is bound to fail.

It's the same selfish and corrupt persons that would be in charge so it would make no difference. A few would benefit from it, but the masses would still be impoverrished.

Haha. These pastors and their constant living in Utopia. To them everyone is interested in equity and good governance. They are blind to the fact that some constantly seek to conquer and enslave others.

What do you expect when they trust and believe in a fake ISRAEL and a white Jesus who died for them. They hate themselves and love their oppressors.

I disagree. It will.

The way we are now means we look up to ND oil for income and that has made the leaders unaccountable. If oil dries and our tax or rather sweat is being used to run this country, there is no way a state will have christian taxpayers and want to build mosques openly. No leader will leave me with dead healthcare and travel abroad to treat simple ailment. Nobody will look up to govt for pilgrimage sponsorships. Nobody will steal and flaunt it because they will publicly donate the bullets that will kill him.

Break up cannot change anything, ask USSR.
only accountability can give Nigeria a better future
