The hip-hop revolution in Nigeria has in no doubt paved ways for young Nigerian musicians... from the days of junior and pretty, down to Eedris abdulkareem, Eldee D don, illbliss, M.I, Vector, Dagrin and the rest.
Hip hop however suffered a great loss after the demise of Dagrin.
Watching the just concluded #Theconversationhennessy what do you think would happen next... It's obvious that this guys (with their beef) were the ones keeping the hip-hop vibe alive on the Nigeria main stream platform, two of the biggest hip-hop artistes in Nigeria. Now that they've ended their beef and planned to do something together in the nearest future, what do you think would become of the outcome?? Well for me, I think hip-hop is heading for another moribund... maybe this happens every 10years as 10 years ago we did suffered a great loss which actually left the hip-hop industry in comatose, and now in 2020 we have rappers again burying their Pees and that prompted me to ask...
Is it healthy for the Nigerian hip-hop industry as no one would be following up on podcasts , streaming and downloading extensive cyphers. Etc...
