2. They should also be banned from checking peoples phones and also making indiscrimate arrests on the road. All arrests arrest must be accompanied with a video recording (The way Lasma does now). They must wear a body cam to make arrests. The person being arrested must also be allowed to record the event.

3. They should be permanently stationed at their post unless they receive distress calls.

4. Any officer caught violating these rules should be sacked and prosecuted.

If this doesn't work after the reform then we can talk of total disbandment. A crime infested nation like Nigeria can't do away with an Anti-robbery elite force.

The regular Police force is almost useless when it comes to combating criminals. Without SARS, bank robberies, highway robberies etc will go totally unchecked. I've worked with these guys on cash movement in the past so I know how valuable they are in this regards.

As for the so called Arewa Youths.. Everyone knows most of them are tribal bigot. They see every issue in Nigeria based on their myopic North versus South divide lens. So their stand isn't surprising.

Remember these celebrities can afford quality security as they live in secure areas.
SARS shouldn't be ended,they should be reformed.
The fact that criminals like Slawormir who always glorifies cyber criminality and fraud is vehemently supporting death to SARS should tell you what's to come if this eventually happens.
Don't just follow the crowd and join the trend,THINK..
Armed robbers fear these SARS operatives.
Ending them will cause more harm than good.

Armed robbers are smiling already to come out in full force, to steal, kill, rape and destroy Nigerians, in every part of the country.
What I want is for the biased officers among SARS to face serious repercussions for their crimes, not stopping them outrightly. These same armed robbers and fraudsters are the one supporting the outright ban of Special Anti Roberry Squad, and not serious punishment that will deter other officers from doing the same. (The same fraudsters that will resort to stealing and armed robbery if their maga refused to pay anymore, they will resort to crime to keep up with their flashy lifestyle). For every 10 good arrest of robbers and criminals that we see on Nairaland everyday , there must be one killing of innocent people by the bad eggs among them. Cutting off the head is not the solution to headache.
If SPECIAL ANTI ROBBERY SQUAD is banned instead of serious punishment for the bad officers involved, Nigerians should get ready for the aftermath, I am only sorry for the good and innocent people that will be affected, many that will be robbed, raped, beaten and stabbed and they look back and regret the day they support END Special ANTI ROBBERY SQUAD in Nigeria!

Definitely Nigeria needs a service's of SAR, thay are only agency that can deals with the bad attitude of such idle stupid youth engage in criminal activities especially the southern youth who want a money in any way, So the Northern youths don't engage themselves in certain criminals activities and they Religion teaches them good characters, so they have no case with any security.
