Typical. Like someone said, its the governments' last card. They don't wan to listen, rather they're running from pillar to post trying to suppress their citizens. We will deal wih bla bla bla bla. this so called 'unity they wan to kill and die for, it does not exist.

I pity many Nigerians making unguarded comments online. Currently, Nigeria is surrounded by very poor neighbors and any war will lead to invasion of the Country. People are going to die from hunger because the country has no food reserve and the war will last for many years without achieving anything. Most foreign countries will only send more arms for you to kill yourselves. PLEASE NIGERIA ARMY REMOVE BUHARI AND SAVE NIGERIA FROM CIVIL WAR.

Buratai doesn't know his job. He has failed to protect the citizens he swore to protect but rather has colluded with terrorist fulani herdsmen to slaughter people and take over their lands. Did his long time predecessor(T.Y Danjuma) not come out openly to say it? Fulanis have rendered the farmers poor by grazing on their farmlands and killing them off. Buratai where were you all the while? Our mothers have protested both half naked and even on all black dresses yet you kept quiet. We have buried our fathers, brothers and relatives without any justice while the killers roam free. Enough is enough.
Buratai, we're watching.

People as it seems now are really ready to die...If NA gets involved then I see collateral damage and it will put us on the map of international arson and destruction list. Let’s thread with caution.
you don't need to advise them, who knows maybe the time has come for us to go our separate ways.

The press release is simply warning those using the protest to cause trouble to desist from such act.

I swear one mistake from the army and the whole protest will turn chaotic that will lead to the unthinkable.

This protest now is a movement, lots of money pouring in now from all over the world. With free foods, water, medicals, etc nothing can stop this protest.

There's nothing antipeople in this press release. Put yourself in the position of the head of the Nigerian Army. Would you fold your hands while hoodlums are running rampant? The press release doesn't say they are going to stop the protests, they're only warning "subversive elements and trouble makers" to beware.

The onus is now on the organizers of the protests to ensure that their activities remain peaceful.

Except it isn't their job to do anything here....

They weren't trained for this kinda things...

I hope the know what the are doing...

Who is the Nigerian army? Is it the army with a logo with an arabic inscription on the base of its logo? Is it the army that has wasted countless resources and men prosecuting a curious and endless war against certain elements in the same space they threaten others in the south to defend?

It might not happen now but one day these threats will no longer be useful.

Perhaps you've also heard that the same NA was urging the presidency, to permit it quell the protest by opening fire on protesters. How do you justify that?
