Whenever you kill someone outside what the law says, it is murder. No matter what one has done, even if the person wiped out half the North, you must hand him over to the authorities if you managed to capture him alive.

If you decide to engage in revenge or jungle justice with a bandit you have captured alive, the law will see you and that bandit as the same, both of you will kill in the right circumstances

Its just that Nigeria is not a civilised country and many of its citizens are barbarians.

In civilised countries, if a thief comes to your house and you manage to capture that thief, just giving that thief a single slap can land you in serious trouble because your job is not to molest the suspect in anyway, your job is to hand him over to the authorities to face justice.

This has since seen the rise of tribal militias like the Mambilla Militia who formed tribal armies in Taraba to check the marauding fulanis whom Buhari has done nothing to check their activities.

A similar tribal militia was quickly assembled in Ife by Yorubas to check the rioting Awusa mobs who had killed a Yoruba man. The people of Ife took the laws into their hands because they knew from recent experience in Mile 12, Lagos that the security forces will not arrest the marauding Awusa mob.

Another good example of abuse of powers by the Buhari govt is the unconditional release of 5 Awusa men who beheaded an elderly Igbo trader. Justice has a department too that requires trained personnel. Timothy McVeigh was responsible for bombing Oklahoma Andy Murray building that saw to the death and maiming of over 600 people. Sometimes we even need to evaluate these villains psychologically to gather data for researchers.
