Yesterday, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey showed his solidarity with thousands of Nigerian youths by tweeting about the #EndSARS protests. He also encouraged his followers to give Bitcoin as a show of support to end police brutality in the country.

In the first tweet, he shared an article about the movement, and in the second, he retweeted a tweet from the Feminist Coalition, where they posted donation links for both fiat and bitcoin. The body is actively involved in the fight to bring the rogue police group to an end.

The #EndSARS movement is one that has been brewing for years. The Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) is a unit of the Nigerian Police Force originally established to combat robberies and other violent crimes. However, the squad turned their energies on youths, harassing any young person who appears ‘suspicious’.
