7 Factors That Cause The Urine To Smell by linlin998z(m): 10:14am On Oct 17, 2020
Commonly, the urine features flat odor. But some people urinate in the morning after they get up, they discover the urine smells. In general, the symptom can be alleviated in 1 or 2 days, so you do not have to worry too much. But the smell lasts more than a week, you should go to the hospital for a scientific test.

What happened ? Usually, there are seven factors.

1.Dehydration

When the body lacks water, the urine will concentrate, making it feature a dark yellow status and smelly odor. It there are sulfur compounds in the body, coupled with dehydration, it can make urine smell more prominently. Usually, it is necessary to develop active drinking habits, especially in the high temperature environment and after exercise. Do not drink diuretic drinks, such as coffee, tea or wine, all of which can accelerate the liquid excretion, thus exacerbating dehydration.

2.Certain foods

Some foods, such as onions, garlic and asparagus, can change the smell of urine. When digested, these foods produce sulphur-like compounds which will be excreted into the urine, causing the urine a sulphurous smell. But this is only temporary. Just avoiding these foods and drinking plenty of water can be helpful.

3.Certain medicines

Doctors point out that certain medicines, such as sulfonamides and B vitamins, can change the smell of urine, which is usually relieved by drinking more water when the drugs have been discontinued.

4.Cystitis

Usually, cystitis is caused by the accumulation of bacteria, and may follow bacterial imbalance or urinary tract infection, which should be treated promptly with antibiotics.

5. Prostatitis

Prostatitis can make it difficult for a person to urinate. An enlarged prostate can cause pressure on the bladder, leading to frequent and urgent urination, pain between the scrotum and anus, and odors in the urine. During this period, herbal medicine Diuretic and Anti-inflammatory Pill should be used, which can be used to treat prostatitis, cystitis and other urinary tract infections.

6. Liver disease

When people get liver diseases, the urine will not be able to be filtered and excreted properly. As a result, urine changes, resulting in smelly urine, accompanied by nausea, vomiting, yellowing skin, abdominal distension and pain in the liver area.

7. Diabetes

If the blood sugar level rises, ketone body will get into the urine, making the urine smell change, which is often accompanied by tiredness, thirst and excessive eating as well as drinking. During this period, it is necessary to drink more water and rationally use hypoglycemic drugs or oral insulin so as to maintain the stability of blood glucose.
