EVENTS SUMMARY ON NIGERIAN PROTEST
1. James Nwafor, the butcher of Awkuzu SARS, is on the run. DPA had warned the Government of the need to arrest Mr. Nwafor before he could escape. Unfortunately, this warning was not heeded. The man packed his family and fled to an unknown location. If you find James Nwafor, contact the police or contact DPA.
2. There is actually another police officer with worse record than James Nwafor. This will shock you. But that officer is said to be DCP Abba Kyari. He heads the IRT unit, which carries out more extrajudicial executions than SARS, but managed to public attention. Aware that justice is heading in his direction, Abba Kyari launched a social media group called Friends of Abba Kyari to try to evade attention.
3. Another major killer officer is Yusuf Kolo. He has been identified along some other deadly officers. These men will flee the country unless arrested immediately.
4. The Abuja based police officer, ASP Shehu, who threatened to "waste a man and nobody would do anything about it" should be dragged until he is removed from the police. We need to show him that we can do something about it even before he kills a person.
5. The Nigerian army is planning to launch its operation crocodile smile, and this time they said they will be combating cyber crime. This is most likely a pretext to use the soldiers to try to quell the protest. However, another message has come from the army denying any plan to stop peaceful protesters. In any case, the crocodile smile is an ill-advised operation. It should be avoided at all cost. Any encounter between the soldiers and the civilian population will lead to bloodshed and the world must hold Buhari and his military commanders responsible for such bloodshed
6. The way the protest is going, we see the likelihood that it may result in regime change and more. The Nigerian government lacks what it takes to control this protest without . However, we commend the government for not not acting in the usual reckless manner by trying to use force on peaceful protesters.
7. Thousands of SARS victims are lodging complaints against SARS officers. When it is over, there is no SARS officer who will be free of guilt.
