CALL FOR POEMS AND ARTICLES ON POLICE BRUTALITY, ASSAULT AND BATTERY
Society of Young Nigerian Writers (SYNW) hereby calls for entries in form of Poetry, Articles and Essays on “Police Brutality, Assault and Battery”. The proposed anthology focuses exclusively on the theme of “Police Brutality, Assault and Battery in Nigeria” and only works relating to the theme will be accepted for publication. Writers are free to write on their personal experience or those of others in the form of essays, articles or poems using any title of their choice. There is no monetary prize attached and submission is free and open to writers across the world. There is no deadline for submissions as entries received will be immediately uploaded on https://endsarswritersmovement..com/.
Intending entrants should submit the following alongside their entries: Name, age, gender, location, phone number, school, permission to publish your work in one or two sentences, and a short bio of no more than 40 words should be included in the submission. Entries should be sent to endsarswritersmovement@gmail.com and copy to societyofyoungnigerianwriters@gmail.com. Only well edited entries will be published. Entry must be type-written and sent in the body of the mail; not as an attachment. Entries sent as attachment will be automatically disqualified. Entry must be the original work of the entrant. Any indication of plagiarism leads to disqualification. The subject of the email should be ‘ENDSARS’. Art Works (Painting) on the theme are also welcome.
