The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd), has said directed the National Salaries, Income and Wages Commission to finalise new salary structure for members of the Nigeria Police Force.

Buhari made this known in a live broadcast on Thursday evening.

Better welfare package for police officers is one of the five-point demands of #EndSARS protesters in the country.

Addressing Nigerians on Thursday, the President said, “With regard to the welfare of police personnel, the National Salaries, Income and Wages Commission has been directed to expedite action on the finalization of the new salary structure of members of the Nigeria Police Force. The emoluments of other paramilitary services are also being reviewed upwards.”

Nigerians have been crying and crying for the past 4-5 years about Police brutality. If the government had taken the issue of Police brutality serious, we won't be where we are today.

There was a report the FG had with them since 2018, if not for this protest, they forgot all about the report.

Nigerian politicians have been taken us for a fool.

This people were killing us but literally the protests is for all Nigerians.

For real they need to increase the money of all military and paramilitaries after they reform them.
Their salary is too small
Saw the screenshot of the police salary and I felt really bad
They should take care of them.

Then importantly they should decrease the money of our politicians
From local to federal
