ENDSARS: Africa Youth Leader Olakunle Churchill Appeals Ondo Youths For Calm, Calls On IGP To Intervene Speedily

With the incessant protest against bad governance and police brutality, in Nigeria, a renowned African Enterpreneur, Philanthropist and Humanitarian, has joined the protest, calling on youths to relax their anger in agitating for good governance. Dr. Churchill made the statement few hours ago, while reacting to the nationwide EndSARS Protest which is fast attracting international worries, global discusses and proactive interventions. He however called on the Federal Government and IGP to immediately swing into actions in other to address the requests of Youths across the nation.

In his statement, he adviced youths to be calm and avoid any more destruction of lives and properties. He has however promised to engage government in a round table discussion that will further provide resolute solutions to the agitations of youths across Nigeria. The African Youth Leader, has continue to advocate for active youth participation in governance and politics, using different channels of advocacy. He has for some time now, championed the cause of youth development and empowerment through his foundation and talk shows. He is presently also engaging international agencies and Institutions towards the support of youths in attaining good and responsive leadership in Nigeria.

Since the EndSARS Protest commenced on 10th October 2020, the situation in some parts of the country have been extremely violent, with series of attacks on government infrastructures, killings of Police officers and other violent activities, especially attacks on peaceful and unarmed protesters.

As a Philanthropist and an unseasoned Humanitarian, Dr. Churchill Olakunle, the Chairman of Big Church Group and Big Church Foundation has continue to support youths across Nigeria and Africa. He has however expressed concern in the ongoing revolution which the youths are engaging. He is throwing his full weight behind the teaming Nigeria youths and is assuring them that with his capacity, he will ensure the Government will respond speedily to the requests of youths, especially ondo state indigent youths and save lives and properties of Citizens as Hoodlums have taken over the struggle.

Few years ago, Dr. Churchill Olakunle was bestowed with the prestigious honour of “African Youth Champion” in Abeokuta by the African Youth and Governance Conference (AYGC), a platform which attracted young leaders and enterprising entrepreneurs across Africa and diaspora.

The people perpetrating this wanton destructions to property and cold blooded killings are not protesters but enemies of the society.
They are attacking police formation, prisons and freeing prisoners that will eventually go out to commit horrible crimes against the public.
It is sheer stupidity by some unscrupulous elements as seen to be cheering these public enemies in their criminal behaviour.
What correlation does a protest have with breaking in and looting peoples goods,destroying and setting fire to banks,burning vehicles,killing police personnel's and raping women and young girls in their home.
What is currently taking place is not peaceful protest's or lawful grievance's but criminals on opportunist rampage.
If you gloat or you are happy on what is happening right now then be rest assured that you might be next.
The army should engage this arsonist's and criminals on rampage with appropriate force and save the police personnel's and citizens from further loss of lives and properties.
The society is on the brink of collapse so the army should be called in now to bring this violence to an end.

I would like for president Buhari to use this opportunity to get rid of the hoodlums in our society. On sighting anyone trying to loot or burn, they should be shot dead. These people are not regular law abiding citizens, they are criminals. The less hoodlums we have with us in our society, the better for us.
